Right trackpad as mouse.
in-game magnifier works fine. If you remap controls, you'll want to use the steam magnifier though, the in-game magnifier only works in combination with gamepad controls and closes on kb/m input.
The cursor from the joystick and the cursor from the mouse are separate. Frustrating if you're mostly fine with the layout but want to use the trackpad as mouse for longer distances.

No issues out of the box
Played 10 hours without any issue with Proton Experimental

Gives vague Plant Tycoon vibes
I avoided this game for a while, wasn't sure I would like it. I realized recently that they had a demo. The demo was nice, and gave me a chance to see if this game would work. It loaded up rather quickly in the demo and full game, and immediately goes into fullscreen once loaded. I was able to put in almost 2 hours with no issues. Nor have I had issues with achievements unlocking. I look forward to playing this game to completion.
I just want to add that I'm actually on Pop Os. But I'm using the version of Steam that will install from the Pop Os store, if I'm not mistaken.
Works out of the box perfectly.

Overall text is quite small however the in game magnifier works well and adds to the charm.
There is also an alternate font which is easier to read but a bit less thematic so it's personal preference.
Played start to finish in a couple of sessions, and it runs great. Small text may be a problem for some but the game does a good job of integrating magnification and alternate font.
Works flawlessly OOTB
Flawless
Runs perfect. Completed without any issue.
Wouldn't run at all for me with the default Proton settings but works perfectly once I switched to 7.0-6.
Game includes a magnifying glass if needed! Works well on Deck.
Works perfectly except a slow launch
Startup takes about 30 seconds with no indication like a loading screen
100% perfect out of the box

Change the font in the options menu or use the ingame looking glass.
Works fine
Works perfectly out of the box
Runs perfectly, no tinkering required
Game averages at 18 FPS at 1080p, which is crazy considering it's a 2D game with mostly static UI occupying the screen.
Overall playable, although your sensitiveness ot low FPS may vary. Does not even run without selecting Proton Experimental.
Played to the end with no issues
Works fine 'out-of-the-box'
One minor bug -- which I've never seen before -- is that achievements aren't firing (there's one for handling your first customer which over 80% of people have, so I'm pretty certain I should at least have that one after several in-game days). Everything else about the game has worked perfectly, though.
