As the title says above, it was a fine experience, without any issues. Sadly touchscreen does not responded for me. (It would be perfect for these type of point-clicker games)
Completed the game without any issues. Works great of the box. Keep in mind the Deck can get a little hot with this indie game.
On launch, it opens a .txt. Use desktop mode, to start there the first time, close the txt, head back to gaming mode and enjoy. :) Switch the layout to one of the community made ones to save you some hassle. Keep in mind the game does not support cloud save. Other than that, the game runs and looks fantastic.
Flickering in the menu, but unticking the AA solves the issue.
Small screen makes the game less ugly. You can run it on max setting with stable FPS. Untick the anti-aliasing and you are good to go. Controls seems fine. Multiplayer pretty much dead.
Runs great out of box, no need to tinker even with the options. Highly recommended to give it a go.
Runs great, with stable FPS on the highest settings. Still has blackbars like AC1 even with 1280x800p.
Had no issues, with this title. You can still feel some performance drop, once you get into the bigger cities (but its the same with normal PC as well). Lightning still feels bit off. If you have the original AC3, just stick with that.
Liberation also works great. Looks so much better on the small screen, despite this is the "HD" version of the original.
Honestly, I had no issue with the game once again. Runs great like AC2-AC:B. Still has those blackbars.
Launching for the first time requires to setup a profile, but the game doesnt detect any input. Set one of the buttons to "Enter", then type in the profile name afterwards I could use the touchscreen to get into the options and set the controls to "xbox 360 controller".
Its a minor annoyence to setup the controls, but after that the game runs perfectly. As noted below the game still has blackbars at 1280x800p. Intro scenes can be skipped with the touchscreen.
Just like AC2, game runs fine with the highest settings. Ubisoft Connect aint much of an issue, you can easily bypass it. Still has blackbars tho.
The game runs great, (maybe even better than the remastered). Definetly looks better, the lightning does not seems off. You can still experience some performance dips in the big cities.
FPS drops when joining a multiplayer lobby
The game runs fine, had no crashes or significant performance isuess, but the controls... Its rough, you have to setup a whole keyboard on your Deck to fully utilize the game. Text and small objects just simply too small for the Deck screen.
Sometimes the game drops the FPS down to 20-25 for no reason. Quick death usually solved my problem. :P Otherthan that, the game is a great experience on the deck.
As the title says, works great without any issues. Does come with controller support. Should be verified in my opinion.
Some in-game texts are hard to read.
Game plays with stable FPS, but sometimes it crashes after missions for me. Controls needs a bit of tinkering. (at least for me, it was horrible)
As the title says I completed the game on the Deck without any issues. Make sure you lock the fps to 60 or lower as the Deck might get hot. The only input you have is the touchscreen, it takes some time to get along with it.
Multiplayer/Open-Mic doesnt work at all. Within 20minutes I had like 4 crashes on the menu, but once you go ingame and start shooting the game runs okay, still not recommended tho, would rather play it on PC.
Didn't try any tinkering, but the game closes before I can even see the menus. Just switch to the remastered one, that one play great so far. (Still testing it)
As a title says, had no issues with it. Not a single crash, fps is stable 60. Looks great with the small screen and also a pleasant default control layout. Should be verified.
Game doesnt boot at all on the Deck. Workarounds might work, but for me, It doesn't worth it tbh.
As the title says. No need to tinker with anything. Runs perfect, unlike Bloody Trapland 1.
Finished the whole game on the Deck, without any major issues. The offical layout bit wonky, so you might want to change there a bit. Text/UI can be hard to read sometimes.
Game works well, but keep in mind to limit the watt usage. The Deck can get quite hot without any limit.
(Only tested the Singleplayer): Game works pretty good "out of the box". Just make sure you enable gyro. On max setting, 60 fps was pretty stable. Finally this game does come with controller support, so no need to tinker with config files.
In multiplayer, there was no audio at all
Just download one of the community control layouts and you are set for Single/Spec Ops. (In my opinion still janky, since there is no offical controller support). Spec Ops multiplayer doesnt work, just keeps connecting to IW servers.
The multiplayer part works fine, but I had no audio at all. Had stable 60FPS in both single and multiplayer.
Just like in MW2, the game does not have controller support. You can complete the whole campaign/spec ops solo (online spec-ops does not work), but has a pretty rough performance. No matter what setting you use, the fps in 30-40 constantly. It's just not smooth at all. The multiplayer however runs with stable 90fps, but like in mw2 case, I got no audio at all...
Had a great time playing this on the Deck. Haven't found any game breaking-graphics related bugs. Adjust the layout as you like, becasue the game does not have any native controller support or layout. Campaign, zombies and multiplayer works all the same. Multiplayer pretty much dead, but you can still find some servers with AI bots.
Cant change the resolution, so you stick with the 4:3 aspect ratio with blackbars on the side. Controls are way to clunky for this game, better with a mouse&keyboard combo.
FPS dips here and there.
You need to change the controller layout, to one of the community made ones. Also tinker with the in-game graphics to get stable framerate. Some of the texts are hard to read. Otherwise runs good.
Had no issues playing game. Trackpads helps a lot to put parts precisely, where they are needed. The small screen can be annoying to see the whole machine.
Just set the layout to a community made one and you are good to go. Running the game at max speed can cause some FPS dips.
The game runs smooth, just download a community made control layout and you are good to go. Definetly worth checking out, game is beautiful on the small screen.
Game runs/looks butter smooth. The controller layout feels weird even after changing ingame or with community layouts. Definitely needs some tweaking.
As the title says, completed it fully on the Deck. I did not find any problems/issues through the playthrough. Should be verified.
Now seriously, finished the game on the Deck without any major issues. All in-game texts are perfectly readable. Keep in mind to change the control-layout to Keyboard-Mouse otherwise, the game will crash quite often.
Just like the previous game in the series, this one is fully enjoyable on the Deck as well. Did not encounter any issues (nor performance, nor control wise).
Played couple of sessions with the (default) touchscreen and It worked surprisingly well. There was no performance issues and ain't too demanding on the battery either. Only downsides are the black bars on the side of the screen (like 4:3 ratio), you can stretch it in the options but the proportions arent the same and looks a bit weird.
Sometimes the native port, doesnt play any audio at all.
Its totally playable on the Deck, but sometimes graphics/audio bugs can occur. Quite the challangeing game with this type of control. Higher difficulties are nearly impossible even with gyro. Other than that, the game runs okay.
Had no issues on the Deck. Save files synced perfectly between the PC and the Deck. Works perfect out of the box.
Had no issue, while playing it, but you need to setup your own control layout, since there is none made by the community.
Similar to the original Mount & Blade, runs fine, without any issues. You need to setup your own control layout, since there is none made by the community.
Once you land, there will be a black box under your character.
Back in September, game ran with 1-2 crashes, but right now It's unplayable. After a minute or so, the game freezes. Tried to run with couple of older Protons, without any luck.
Change to a community controller layout and you are fine. Keep in mind, its not designed for controller+small screen. Really difficult to play on the go.
When I put the Deck to sleep mode, and started playing again some constant crackling started.
Came across some minor texture flickering and some in-game cutscenes weren't playing at all.
I experienced some of the issues listed above, other than that game works properly. These bugs went away as soon as I restarted the game.
Used the same methods, listed below.
"Added a dxvk.conf file on my library path /SteamLibrary/steamapps/common/STAR WARS Battlefront/ with the following for an AMD RX550: dxgi.customVendorId = 1c06"
Game runs perfectly with 60FPS high settings. Couldn't test multiplayer, because of low player numbers.
If you tweaking with the resolution certain texture doesnt load properly
Aim control was laggy, tried with Joystick input and the lagg remained. Gyro helps a lot
Once again, I tweaked with the resolution, I couldnt load some save files. Had to change back to the original resolution and use FSR.
Need a little tweaking here and there, but completely playable
Good experience on the Deck, definitely try out. Needs a bit of tinkering with the graphics setting to make it as smooth as possible. Other than that, I enjoyed it very much.
Game runs on the Unreal Engine 4, and the Deck can't keep up with it. Lowering the graphics doesnt really improve much, but the visuals becomes laughable...
Also the game doesn't have full controllers support, found myself touching the screen more, than I should.
In my opinion avoid this on the Deck.
As the title says, the game runs almost flawless. Some in-game texts are harder to read and a basic control scheme kinda wonky.
Game runs stable, completly playable. Make sure to use of the community controller layouts for this.
