"GE-Proton10-2 Released" at the start all seamed to me just fine but after i got passed the cutscenes the game didn't work
I did add on d3d11.dll and dxgi.dll

Constant stutters during gameplay

stopped after opening cutscene
After cutscene the screen froze

The game is slow, but it is playable.
The game is slow, but it is playable.

DXVK_ASYNC=1 %command%
Shading just seems a bit off. See description.
async massively boosted performance, but stuttering occasionally remains.
I've tried playing without dxvk-async, the game is completely unplayable with constant, unpredictable stuttering and even sometimes crashes. I believe there is a weird shading issue when it comes to Ghosts on Linux, which is why async MASSIVELY boosts the performance of the game. The stuttering is still present, but the game is very much playable.
Maybe it's shaders trying to render and will recover with time, I am unsure.
Maybe my memory is playing tricks on me, but the game just seems off texture-wise. Not like, you'd notice if you weren't looking for it, but it just seems like the shaders just didn't work right and when you see it, you can't unsee it. Minor artifact, if you even notice.
I applied dxvk-async's x64 "d3d11.dll" and "dxgi.dll" to the Proton directory for Call of Duty Ghosts, which is in
"steamapps -> compatdata -> 209170 -> pfx -> drive_c"
Advisory for tinkering; I'd probably try and mess with shaders like how async works. Post findings so I can fix my game lol.
Regardless, game's playable. Could be better but I got it working alright.

gamemoderun mangohud DXVK_FRAME_RATE=60 %command%
Audio during cutscenes cut out or paused, while the video kept playing.
A bit of stuttering during gameplay, a lot during cutscenes, and a few freezes occuring seemingly random.
It works well enough that I didn't get taken out of the experience.

RADV_PERFTEST=gpl DXVK_ASYNC=1 PROTON_FORCE_LARGE_ADDRESS_AWARE=1 %command%
Crashes end of cutscene on level 2 loading consistently even with protonGE and launch commands. Moved install from microsd card to internal storage and worked perfectly after.
Just make sure to install on internal storage and should work fine, potentially without commands and protonGE

mangohud DXVK_FRAME_RATE=60 %command%
Mouse aim would go further up than down. Controller works well.
frame time was not good, frequent stutter
Tested in multiplayer mode
gamemoderun %command%
Mouse isn't picked up on fullscreen on first boot. Can be fixed by using the arrow keys to unfullscreen and refullscreen. After doing so it works just fine.

Some audio cuts during the Loading Screens. Enable Subtitles to read the cut dialog
Using GE-Proton8-25 gave me MAJOR stutters in the Campaign so use the default Proton version which Steam recommends and you'll have 0 stutters. Multiplayer has the same issues on both ends so use GE-Proton8-25 in everything else except the Campaign and use the launch option RADV_PERFTEST=gpl %command%. People claim this Launch Option solves the stutter but it did not for me. Still stutters but slightly shorter maybe. Once you play on the same map a few times, the stutters will go away entirely
Regular online MP matches and Extinction played flawlessly. Shader stutter is there but goes away after you've been on that map a couple of times
Solid 60FPS with maxed out graphics. Left Anti-Aliasing on off and Fur on off. Anti-Aliasing does impact performance but idk about the Fur part

(Only tested the Singleplayer): Game works pretty good "out of the box". Just make sure you enable gyro. On max setting, 60 fps was pretty stable. Finally this game does come with controller support, so no need to tinker with config files.
gamemoderun RADV_PERFTEST=gpl %command%
Significant stuttering without any launch options through Valve's default Proton distributions.
RADV_PERFTEST=gpl is a required launch command for this game. It uses a newer shader compiler that is much faster and therefore eliminates stuttering. The game stutters so poorly without this that it is unplayable. After using GameMode, RADV_PERFTEST=gpl, and GE-Proton, the experience is no different from Windows.
DXVK_ASYNC=1 DXVK_FRAME_RATE=144 %command%
Slight stuttering when the level was loading stuff in it
Game works just fine, with some slight stutters when things were loading. I added DXVK_ASYNC to mitigate this, and so far it's a lot less noticeable.
RADV_PERFTEST=gpl gamemoderun %command%
Frame rate is capped at 90fps no matter what, even with DXVK framerate options
You wouldn't be able to tell you're on Linux
You really need ProtonGE with RADV_PERFTEST=gpl %command%
otherwise the stutter is pretty bad. But once you do get that setup, you can't tell it apart from windows

DXVK_ASYNC is a must. MAJOR stuttering without ASYNC enabled, but game runs good with it enabled.
DXVK_ASYNC=1 %command%
MAJOR stuttering in multiplayer without DXVK_ASYNC enabled. Game is borderline unplayable with the amount of stuttering.
Small amounts of stuttering still with DXVK_ASYNC enabled, but game is very playable and runs and looks fine otherwise.
DXVK_ASYNC=1 PROTON_FORCE_LARGE_ADDRESS_AWARE=1 %command%
Really slow to load texture, black hole in the screen occasionally
Freez, stuttering, lag
gamemoderun %command%
performance is far worse than on windows other than that it works fine
DXVK_ASYNC=1 %command%
Significant performance issues first time playing. Enabled async and most stuttering ceased
The huge stuttering issues may throw most people off, but once you play through a level, there will be way less stutters next time.
PROTON_FORCE_LARGE_ADDRESS_AWARE=1 %command%
When you disconnect a keyboard, you can no longer control your character with the controller. Which shouldn't really happen on normal playthroughs anyway.
(Tested only Extinction) There are huge stutters when playing for the first time on a level. After you walk around it and let Proton do its thing, the stutters will be gone next time you go through the same areas after restarting the game. Other than that, the game seems to run at a stable 60fps at relatively high settings when not plagued by stutters.
(Tested Extinction only, solo) The game requires you to be online to play (you need to be connected to their servers), and that part worked just fine.
The game runs But it's garbage frame stuters, super low fps
I cannot recemend playing it on linux
Game crashes before starting some specific missions besides will work mostly fine (AMD FSR TESTED) but very frequent framedrops

Proton-6.18-GE-2 GloriousEggroll
Proton-6.18-GE-2, gamemoderun %command%
Initially input was very delayed, but a game restart seems to have fixed it.
Upon the first launch the game ran 20-30FPS but after a game restart it went back up to the 90FPS framerate cap.
I played the Squads gamemode using 1440p Ultra settings (Other than FXAA, no depth of field, no motion blur, no dynamic fur).
It initially ran very poorly, (20-30FPS, heavy input lag) however after a game restart it went back up to the 90FPS lock that the game has. There was some stuttering but most of it is present on Windows too.
Runs relatively well. Could be better.
Graphics quality was unusually bad. Vsyncs to 60 on a 75 Hz display (mode set correctly in settings)
Stutters every now and then. Medium settings

set PROTON_FORCE_LARGE_ADDRESS_AWARE=1 %command% as launch options, the game ran smooth for me after that
Turns out setting PROTON_FORCE_LARGE_ADDRESS_AWARE=1 %command% in launch options resolves most of the issues. Some lag still happens now and then when loading new areas but the game doesn't crash anymore after every single player mission
Game crashes after every single player mission, graphics have to be on medium, frequent freezes of the game when it loads a new area
Resolution and textures seem blurred due to the low settings needed for the game to even be playable.
Graphics have to be set on medium in order to have a somewhat playable state. The game sometimes freezes for a few seconds to load everything in, altough the graphics.
The game crashes after every chapter of the single player campaign. REstarting the game puts you right back were you've left off, so no progression loss.

slow as hell, squads crashes the game
realy slow with min graphic settings
squads and private matches crashes the game
Everything seems to be working as far as I can tell. I didn't notice any problems.

Multiplayer tested only, cannot play squad. I tried disable esync and use d9vk, non of these works.

Single Player, Multiplayer work flawless after shading compiling. Biggest issue is creating a private match in multiplayer will either crash the game or If lucky return an error message, "Invalid structure definition, stats group of type 3 named Z491056b8ad1e0039ae1af4b3163ff872d147bb90852667c95affe3c7 has empty data."

Is working a bit laggy. Now with the latest proton update the mouse sometimes moves up without a reason.

Multiplayer works. Only playing a map for the first time is laggy.

I played through the entire single player campaign at 1080P with medium to high settings. I tried to do the Coop game mode (Extinction) and it crashed. The performance was OK, but I am sure It could be at least 30% better than it was. It had some frame rate dips. It also crashed a few times. I was able to start the game in safe mode if I needed to. The game performance has been improving with every major version of Proton (4.2 is the best!) I also turned off some shader options that speed up loading up a level.

Works well out of the box, but the shader cache stuttering is pretty bad sometimes making it somewhat unplayable the first time.
