Completed several runs on Proton 8.0, no issues whatsoever.
Finished the whole game on the Deck, without any major issues. The offical layout bit wonky, so you might want to change there a bit. Text/UI can be hard to read sometimes.
Great rogue-like dungeon crawler with near-native level of performance and developer support.
Setting the framerate cap to 40 FPS allows for further battery longevity gains. Other than that - it's perfect - game is rather lightweight, doesn't require high FPS.
Some of the in-game text (ie. card descriptions and several context menu options) are using a pretty tiny font size which makes it hard to read.
Also, some gamepad button prompt icons periodically disappear.
Full play-through with mouse and keyboard
Works perfectly out of the box

Almost all text is hard to read
No technical issues of any kind as of Proton 7.0-2, but nearly all the game's text is very tiny and hard to read on the Deck's screen.
Works perfectly fine
Proton 4.11, works out of the box, absolutely perfect
Works great out of the box (Proton 4-13)
Runs great out of the box
Runs perfect out of the box
Finished adventure without issues
It runs like a native game, there is no need for any cheats to run, it really feels like a game made for linux

Runs like an actual Linux version probably would.
On the... "main" screen, I guess, it says I can right click for options when selecting Book of Demons. That just doesn't work for some reason (right click works in other places of course).
Works out of the box
Works out of the box with current Proton 5.0-9
I had to set "Force the use of a specific Steam Play compatibility tool" to Proton 4.11-13 or the game wouldn't launch.
Works out of the box
Works out of the box with the latest Proton version
Some crackling now and then. But it probably has to do with the fact that my laptop's CPU isn't potent enough.
I had to use Proton version 4.11-13, because it wouldn't start with Proton v 5

Attempts to launch but seems to be missing a file or launcher and crashes before starting.
Using Proton 5.05-5. Mentions this file: /media/jim/X360 Drive/SteamLibrary/steamapps/common/Return 2 Game s/r2g_launcher.exe
Works perfectly with proton 4.11 (but not v5.1, I had to switch for the previous version)
Runs well
Problem was solved by switching to Proton 4.11-12
Plays great!
Got fully through a couple of levels with absolutely no issues.
Besides the clipping issue (with the upcoming fix in DXVK) the game works flawlessly out of the box.
Due to a bug in DXVK some of the textures overflow their bounds. At the time of writing this has already been fixed in a commit that hasn't been part of a release though.
With Vsync on the mouse is very sluggish. Disabling Vsync fixes the issue with no detriment to performance.

Missing transparencies in the menu & in-game, leading to some totally white screens with Proton 5.0-1, this is a regression from Proton 4.11-12.

Works great with both mouse/keyboard & controller.

Runs perfectly out of the box!

Runs without issue

I played 14 hours so far, and everything works perfectly. I didn't try using the controller since this game is more mouse oriented.
