Switching to GE didn't help either with the audio
WINEDLLOVERRIDES="bink2w64=n" VKD3D_CONFIG=dxr11 VKD3D_FEATURE_LEVEL=12_1 %command% --skip-launcher
Changing AMD FSR 1.0 Settiings while having FSR 2.0 active makes the game crash
The recent update broke Vulkan for BG3, I wasn't able to start the game with proton default or experimental. I had to use GE with exact those launch options. Broken Vulkan is a game issue, since Windows users experience those crashes on startup as well.
Easy anti cheat makes it fail
You see a short splash screen and it instantly crashes
You can defeat the splash screen boss now
Splash screen no longer crashes, but the launcher is just black and you can't start the game
Still borked
Launcher splash screen works, Launcher itself is pure black
I haven't tested a lot but it looks fine so far, besides the launcher
Launcher is black, and you have to navigate it blind
Some stages have some weird flickering going on, like the Mushroom maps. Not game breaking but noticeable. I experienced that on 2 different Devices with different Proton Versions and Hardware.
The Intro Videos might not play with some proton versions, especially when you installed them via flatpak, codec issue maybe that are missing in flatpak but are available on a system installed proton?
Always starts windowed
Framedrops
Random freezing where amdgpu softlocks the UI, restarting Xorg via SSH helps
Options menu locks when using AMDVLK or closed source drivers
Needs serious optimization
Tried both Steam input and without FFNx made it work, I had to remap it ingame.
No controller support without modding.
Runs like garbage, it used to be better in the past
small white border in borderless fullscreen
Mouse acceleration is weird, usually too fast. Fixable by lowering it almost to 0 or editing configs.
Runs not well, especially in urban regions
New DRM broke it
CAPCOM added a new DM called Enigma which breaks games on Linux
Crashes too often
AMD FSR creates black screen
amdgpu resets, same issue like Dragons Dogma 2
Beta Test
I had to downgrade my Kernel 6.12 makes some of the REengine games freeze MESA and the whole UI. The gpu module restarts and that is something the game can't handle. Linux Kernel 6.6 seems to work stable here.
Could have been a day 1 out of the box release.
The game is incredibly unstable, sometimes crashes after a few minutes, sometimes after a few hours. When it crashes it can reboot your whole system or resets amdgpu, which also will kill your DE
BEWARE: If you change your proton version too often or Proton Experimental [bleeding edge] pushes out too many updates, denuvo will lock you out of the game for 24 hours. This also happens if you switch kernels.
The frame rate issue with Season 13, makes the game unplayable after 3 matches.
After like 3 matches the framerate drops by like 30 fps, everytime you change the viewport, spectator camera still works smooth with stable frames.
Before the season 13 update, it worked without any issues.
ingame was suddenly capped at around 30 fps
Downgrade the Proton Version to something lower than 9.10 helped and FPS were high again
Multiplayer is borked, you'll get a login error every 10 Minutes even in Single player. You can't play the multiplayer mode at all, it always tells you login failed.
Tried GE 8-16 too, same results
Multiplayer works now with Proton hotfix, that Valve rolls automatically out
Effects were completely gone after a while of playing. Which could be a game bug.
