I had to install Media Foundation(mf-install) to handle some media, else it show a "no input image". https://github.com/z0z0z/mf-install
Great game to play!
No sound using Pipewire
I playing all game using Proton instead of Native, because the sound not worked for me, maybe Pipewire blame? Using Proton I was not able to see the end cutscene, missing some video lib, tried media foundation but it broke any cutscene instead. I could try see the cutscene using Native, but again, no audio. At least a saw the end on YT.
The game runs good, and I don't see any issue playing this game on Proton. Could be Platinum status with not was the Media Foundation issue.
The intro and other media needs Media Foundation(mf-install), else it show a black(proton-5.x) or "no input screen" (proton-6.x). https://github.com/z0z0z/mf-install

Just remember to install Proton EasyAntiCheat Runtime which is on your Library >> Tools.
Works but freeze all the time.
The game shows an error while saving but besides that it save and load correctly.
The game frequent freeze, needing to kill the process.
The game currently is a pain in the ass because it freeze after some time, maybe 15min, appears to happen more often using game speed on 5x or 10x, but happened too on 2x.
I wouldn't recommend neither for a casual player. Only if your are not paying attention on game, doing other stuffs like, working, cleaning the house, or while DTR.
Played all the first game day and the initial quests. The game runs smooth after loading all surrounding graphics, 50fps on 3440x1440 ultra.
The game can't pass the initial splash video, sometimes it stuck in the first, sometimes in the second. I was able to pass them deleting all spash videos from the game folder. You can find them opening the Library on Steam, then right click on the game and chose Properties, click on Local Files and after on Browse. The File Manager will open up, navigate to Medieval_Dynasty >> Content >> Movies, remove the .mp4 files from the folder but don't touch in the sub folders. Launch the game and enjoy!
TL:DR Open shell and run: rm ~/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/Medieval Dynasty/Medieval_Dynasty/Content/Movies/* Launch the game and enjoy!
If the game has a parameter to skip intro, deleting the .mp4 is not needed, I think.
Complementary for my last report.
Appears the problem is only with Logo_RenderCube.mp4, Logo_Toplitz.mp4 and Logo_UE4.mp4. I think is because their resolution are 4k and Proton is not handling it, or some codec related issue.
Open shell and run the follow command to remove the files:
rm ~/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/Medieval\ Dynasty/Medieval_Dynasty/Content/Movies/Logo_{RenderCube,Toplitz,UE4}.mp4
Launch the game and enjoy!
If the game has a parameter to skip intro, deleting the .mp4 is not needed, I think.
Remember to repeat the process each update or integrity check.

Some in game videos doesn't play, you need install mf-install.
git clone https://github.com/z0z0z/mf-install.git
cd mf-install
WINEPREFIX=~/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/559100/pfx PROTON=~/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/Proton\ 7.0 ./mf-install.sh -proton
You need correct the WINEPREFIX if you have installed the game in another Steam Library, the same for Proton, also for Proton version.
The game works without mf-install but you can't see some video/movie animations.
The game start stuttering and eventually crashes in the intro, when watching the red cloud line.
In one of my tries I was able to move the fox, until the new cut scene crash the game again. Tried Proton 8.0-3 and Proton Experimental, with both I wasn't able to play. Resolution 3440x1440, quality on high. TL:DR Not been able to play it.
My last report the game was freezing, but now it is working with Proton 8.0-3 and the Proton Experimental.
The last update have bugged the mouse when using in fullscreen, instead use windowed. Also to run smooth use 'PROTON_NO_D3D11=1 %command%', it will help A LOT!
Great performance, played with highest quality and 3440x1440 resolution.
After the first time I played, the game crash starting the game. I was able to pinpoint the problem, and was Steam Overlay, if I Delete the Overlay Data, the game works again, until I close the game. For this game I had to disable permanently the Steam Overlay.
I have played the game at 2560x1440(WQHD) with the graphics in highest, getting average 60fps.
The Uplay from Steam is old and is not working anymore, download the last Uplay from https://uplay.ubi.com/. After the game is installed, do this WINEPREFIX="/home/USERNAME/.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/48210/pfx/" wine UplayInstaller.exe
Intro with black screen, after pushed ESC 3 times it got working. Turned v-sync off in options to improve performance.
In general, it's playable like on Windows, not see any degradation playing it
I was getting a Issues with Steam Linux Runtime - Soldier, I have changed to client_beta branch and it corrected my issue
Proton 6.3 have input stuttering with WOWS and few other games. Use 5.13 until it's fixed.
Proton 6.3-2 fixed the stuttering problem with this game and others. Back to Platinum status.
Mods can be installed using Aslains_WoWs_Modpack_Installer, the official mod installer (ModStation) have to much dependencies to install.
