Game works as intended, I've had no problems

gamemoderun %command%
Slight tearing and some artifacting
A bit choppy, enabling vsync helped but caused screen tearing, it is an indie game
Given it's an indie game that was abandoned, it works well enough that you can still enjoy it

Works perfectly, no special changes needed
Just works - smooth and crisp

No tinkering, runs very well.
Does not work
It launches the initial videos but never gets to the main menu, it just displays a black window
Works fine.

6.16-GE-1 GloriousEggroll
Proton 6.16-GE-1 for videos
Works OOB
The game runs good, and I don't see any issue playing this game on Proton. Could be Platinum status with not was the Media Foundation issue.
The intro and other media needs Media Foundation(mf-install), else it show a black(proton-5.x) or "no input screen" (proton-6.x). https://github.com/z0z0z/mf-install

Proton-5.21-GE-1 GloriousEggroll
Proton-5.21-GE-1
You can play it also with 5.13-6, but then no in-game moves are shown.
Disregard previous "borked" report. Was a local issue
Using any version of Proton, it crashes and fails to launch
Tried with the default version, 5.11GE-MF, 5.13-5 and a few others. All versions instantly crash
Proton-GE
You dont have to install a Proton fork (Glorious Eggroll) to enjoy the game; it works just fine with Steam default however - you won't be able to see any ingame movies, such as intro or little tutorial movies. Those aren't important at all to the gameplay so... if you don't want to bother for 100% experience, you dont have to.

First launch of the tutorial hung the in-game menu. Had to end the process. No issues after the first attempt.

Proton-5.9-GE-5-ST
Video playback on main menu freezes after ~30sec causing the menu to become completely lock up. Forced to kill process.

Videos not playing, using mf_install from: https://github.com/z0z0z/mf-install worked.
I followed a tutorial in the Steam forums for the fix: https://steamcommunity.com/app/712190/discussions/0/2269193447676372424/
The cursor is really small @4k resolution
I still think that brightness/shadows/shading doesn't match 100% to windows.
In my previous report i was unhappy with the game, but as it turned out the problem went away when switching graphic to medium. This is not an fps problem (i had ~100fps before) but more likely related to micro stutter. With lower settings i'm at ~120 fps and the games feels normal, not sluggish anymore.
Feels unpleasant in the current state.
The games feels sluggish, light/shadow seems to be wrong (too bright/too dark; need to compare to current windows version though, only played an early version so far) FPS wise: getting +100fps@1440p with an RTX2060 with all things maxed out.
Feels sluggish
Menu background is plain white, no video is displayed.
I have tried PROTON_USE_WINED3D
which resulted in roughly 50% fps drop and everything went super dark. Using PROTON_NO_D3D11
resulted in game not starting at all.
