I've been playing this on Experimental because the other reports suggested it
-dx11
The game wouldn't start until I set compatibility to Force the use of Proton Experimental and enter the -dx11 launch option. This is important, otherwise the game will never start.
It's been randomly freezing a lot lately. I'll be playing the game and the game just completely freezes and I'm forced to ALT+F4 out.
Random freezes
The game worked perfect a few weeks ago, I even played Hitman 1 and 2 without any freezing or significant bugs. This is just a recent occurrance.
Crashes shortly into first Story Mode cutscene
I tried default Proton and Proton Experimental and it just crashes.
Works great aside from the random crashes.
I have about a dozen "Fatal Error" crashes during my playthrough
When the crashes happen, you have to verify games files to repair the broken files and then the game will last a few hours without crashing again.
I played the game to completion with 7.0-3. Worked 100% perfect, all cutscenes worked. No tinkering of any kind.
Everything about the game was perfect on Proton 7.0-3 except for the few video scenes being blank or skipped. I beat the game once
Video tapes didn't work and a few instances where I'm supposed to see somebody on laptop and tv scene they were just blank screens.
The game crashes when I try to start a new game.
It kept crashing right after attempting to start a new game, even when I lowered settings and set proton to Experimental.
Works great, just install and play
I did have two crashes to desktop during my 36 hours of playtime, but it was no big deal because the game auto-saves a lot. Lost basically no progress at all.
only got an error
"An error occured while updating Vampire Survivors (missingle executable): /home/username/.steam/debian-installation/steamapps/common/Vampire Survivors/VampireSurvivors" Got this whenever I tried launching the game. I looked for a solution in the steam forums and somebody said to opt into the beta and that didn't work either.
