Depending on the amout of dc's and game crashes, it can get to the point where you just can't be bothered dealing with it.
A mix of anti-cheat, completely crashing or at some point everyone losing connection so I'm left as raider alone.
Sometimes as Raider at any random point all the survivors dc but are left running on the spot. Have problems as survivor as well where you can be unable to open crates or perform actions, but everyone else is still running around you without any problems.

Since the beginning of season 6, It doesn't allow you start a game.
It happens when you're in the lobby waiting to connect a season between 8 players. When it try to start the season after find 7 more players, it gives a connection error. Tried with Proton experimental too.

Had issues running this game online normally but after forcing it to use Proton Experimental, it works without any issues.

Proton experimental was working badly in my PC, but Proton GE earned stability here. Finally, EAC allows us play this game.
Expect a lot of network failures, it's a thing from the game servers.

I've been playing this on Experimental because the other reports suggested it

Installed the game, set GE-Proton, and launched the game, no fuss, no problems. Played a few multiplayer games without any more weirdness that the game demonstrates on a Windows machine.
Surprised that after installing Proton EAC I was successfully able to play. Proton Victory

Played two full matches without any issues. Graphics at medium and only one small texture glitch when sucked into time hole when match found. Also have proton easyanticheat runtime installed (if that helps).

The game initially worked on Thursday of playtest, but kicked me via EAC timeouts on Friday and Saturday
Multiplayer worked on a single day (Thursday) but kicked me via EAC timeout every day after that during the playtest
The beta made use of my existing beta save file from a previous closed beta. This is the only thing I can think of that might have allowed me to play multiplayer online on the Steam Deck on Thursday. Anecdotally, my friend with a steam deck was getting kicked from games while I was not, until I tried playing again on Friday and Saturday, where I was unable to spend any time in a match longer than 30 seconds. Running EAC manually and trying Proton GE didn't correct the issue.

The game itself works fine and lets you play the tutorial without issues. But if you try to play online, you will be kicked out by EAC since it hasn't been enabled for Linux/Proton

Was able to play flawlessly for about 60 seconds before EAC booted me out.

Online is still broken as of the open beta. EAC is still not configured to let Linux players play online through Proton.
Every offline part of the game works as it should, I was able to make it through the tutorial with no glaring issues, it's only the matchmaking that makes this game unplayable through Proton.

I have downloaded EAC manually (as will sometimes fix games with this problem) and had no success.

EAC will kick you from online matches
Prologue is fully completable on proton 7.0-3, it appears there's some sort of single palyer episode mode that is inaccessible in the beta, that should be fully playable. Online however would kick me from matches about 1 minute into the game.
I also tried proton 6 since I saw other reports saying the game crashes on that version and can confirm the game crashes immediatly on proton 6.
It appears there is some sort of single player episode mode, it's disabled appers to be disabled in the test. So if you only want to play the single player mode, that would appear to work based on the prologue.

Was not able to test online due to servers currently being down, will update when I get a chance to test.
