Odd disconnect but this is possibly a game issue
No real issues. I did get a pause on initial load due to shader caching but it was quick to cache. I also had a radom disconnect from the game but the people I played through the whole campaign with also had the issue on Windows so possibly a game issue rather than Linux/Proton.
Demo - Ran fine with default settings
Everything ran fine. Smooth frame rate and game seems fun from the demo
Classic game runs out of the box with no issues
Installed and ran as standard with recommened Proton 7.0-4
No tweaks needed, did not edit any files. Everything just ran out of the box
PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%
Used PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command% as recommened by others with default proton 7.0-4 and it worked fine.
Note: the installation also installs UBI Soft Connect as well. Which even though I tick remember me on the log in asks me to log in each time.

Like others had to add the shader cache that has been posted on reddit
First game after a new patch or update can have a bit of slow down as the graphic shader caching kicks in but if you have the combined shader from reddit this does not last long.

It does work at the moment as they are still using EAC anti cheat that works with Linux/Proton. However the developer has noted in a post that they looking at moving to FaceIT. There does seem to be some communication on the steam forums from the Devs about taking into consideration Steam Deck compatablity but as this is an early access game I would take it that, yes it does run for now but it is possible it might not in the future. This is a shame as the games graphics hide the indepth gameplay of a classic BF game and solo or with friends I had a blast
Working ok until latest patch
Game was working fine on both desktop and Steamdeck until patch on Dec 21st 2023. Now when launching prompts to say "The following component(s) are rquire to run this program: Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime
Possibly be able to fix it with winetricks but not tried yet.
Playable after rolling back to pre-intel fix patch
So previously I was getting an issue with the game after the developer released a patch to fix a crashing issue with the latest Intel Chipsets. After playing around I ended up rolling back to the previous patch and this fixed it.
In Steam, under properties for the game>Betas>Beta participation change this to previousversion.
This worked for both desktop and SteamDeck
Game ran fine
Running at 2K. Using an 8bitdo SN30Pro + joypad. Really enjoyed the look and the soundtrack
Starts up but crashes with in seconds

Since patch 1.62 - I can load the game and get in to the settings, create a new game with character but as soon as the main game loads it freezes and eventually crashes out with a crash report. Same with loading existing saved game. No mods ever used.
Prior to patch 1.62 game worked fine for me at 2K everything set to high.
I have validated the game files, re-downloaded the R6 folder, ensured all the ray tracing settings are set to off then turned the main ray tracing option off. Reinstalled. Game still crashes.

Can join and host games with no issues
rock and stone, to the bone
A Vampire Survivors like with Rocks and Stone
Ran out of the box with no issues. Using a gamepad seems like the best play option. Using an 8Bit Do Pro 2 controller with no issues. The game seems to prefer you to use D Pad in menus.
DEMO - Works fine with no tweaks
No issues playing the demo and game ran fine, including all the audio prompts
Game ran with no issues out of the box
No issues at all. Game is running at a solid 144fps at 2K.
Demo - Runs with no issues using default settings
Game loads and runs fine, seems pretty quirky game but no graphical or audio issues for the levels I played on the demo

Audio on some cut scenes went out of sync but was resolved once it went back to the main game
Loading in to a game after the main menu took a bit of time, guessing shader caching
Played through entire game with someone running on Windows with a couple of match making issues but this happened from Windows as well
A thin Origin client is installed as part of the game install
gamemoderun %command%
After loading in, I found using each of my abilities for the first time would lag the game for a few seconds but afterwards this wasn't an issue. Guessing caching issue
Found the experience to be the same as on Windows
DEMO - Works well out of the box
This was the demo. Ran at 2K @144Hz no issues running. Only tested mouse and keyboard
gamemoderun %command%
Played the demo for awhile on PC. Highly suggest turning VSync off if you have a decent GPU as set to 144hz with it on caused some stuttering. Turning VSync off and it was very smooth with display settings set to ultra. Works both with an 8bitDo Pro2 controller as well as mouse and keyboard. Default Proton
- Steamdeck. Works out of the box. To get 60FPS I had to set the graphics to low. Forcing the frame limiter to 40 I could run it on high but to my old eyes it looked fine at low. I would say the text is a little small on the deck but readable.
"Graphics Card does not meet the minimal specifications requirements"
Switched to Proton Experimental. Game says its launching then comes up with a window - "Graphics Card does not meet the minimal specifications requirements"
Tried GE-Proton8-14. Game says its running but nothing loads on screen.
Seems to be random with AMD GPU/Mesa driver/Kernal combo to get it running

Game was coming up about graphics card but after a bit of searching I found adding the tweak line to the steam launch options to force it to use the RADV drivers it kicked in to life. Been playing for a few hours with no real issues. I some times see a white texture but its for a split second so doesnt affect the game.
Its no Elite or No Man Sky. Its Fallout in space but I am enjoying it.

Odd crash but this was game related
Odd disconnect
Ran through the whole base game both solo and co-op with a friend on Windows. We both got odd disconnects depending on who was hosting. Other than a cache pause now and then game looks great. Also ran through the Cyber Heist DLC.
There are game breaking bugs which are not OS related with both quests and game crashes. There appears to be multiple threads on the forum about issues with the last boss on Cyber Heist DLC (no spoilers) that means it wont trigger a cut scene. I have the achievement in steam but attempted the boss 6 times with no cut scene and ending. As of this date it was not fixed.
Demo - Installed and worked out of the box
Running at 2K no changes default settings. Demo worked fine

Game runs great out of the box for me, added a few tweaks for my graphics card. Played while in early access and just played solo to get a feel for it and its fun even on your own, can see it being better online. Game takes a little bit to learn but it leads you through it well. Overall enjoying it so far
Works well with v1 now having full gamepad support. I loaded in my main PC save and it works fine. I only play solo so unsure what the server experience is like. I had to load the game in desktop mode once to get it to launch then quit out and now it loads fine in game mode
Been playing with a few friends who are running on Windows. Can join their games and they can join mine with no issues
I have had one crash but so have my firends on Windows so seems common to the game. Other than that it has been fine.
