Unplayable, menu is dark aside from some text
Unplayable right now, after enabling WINED3D the game is able to open, the initial video plays but no image is shown anywhere on the game, probably some problem rendering sprites. If you select an option on the menu while blinded it's possible to see some text and enter the game, the ingame map/menu is black the same way as the main menu, some text renders and the map song plays fine.
The game does not open anymore on proton 5.0.3
Not a huge downgrade as the game was already unplayable, but something makes the new version not open the game even with launch options set. On older versions the game opened and didn't show anything aside from audio when PROTON_USE_WINED3D was inserted on the game's launch options. It doesn't do that anymore. If PROTON_OLD_GL_STRING is added to the launch options the configuration tool runs, but it has the same problems as on older versions if not paired with PROTON_USE_WINED3D.
Runs perfectly, would probably pass as native if whitelisted
The shadows were really strange, rendering right next to the player, maybe that's actually from the game but it was strange nonetheless.
Pictures taken do not show in the menus
Needs to run 'winetricks xact' and add 'WINEDLLOVERRIDES="xaudio2_7=n,b" %command%' to the game's launch options
The game runs great, more out of the box than the first one and without messing with settings.
The game does not have a windowed mode, using a virtual desktop made the game not accept a controller, but I believe that's not really fault of how the game runs on proton but how wine treats the virtual desktop.
Playable, could use a few fixes
Videos do not play, such as the intro
Gameplay worked fine, alt tab behaviour worked better than on windows, where it crashed the game there it runs fine here.
As cutscenes do not work I tried installing xact, wmp11 and the media foundation script. I also tried the glorious eggroll's proton fork but that way the game doesn't even open. Nothing actually fixed the videos.
No videos run, which is pretty important as this visual novel shows some plot points in video format.
The gameplay works fine but I can't think anyone would play this for anything other than the visual novel part, and that lacks without the video cutscenes.
No text, but seems to be next to playable if fixed
Menu and sound work fine, probably has some problem with fonts, as they appear as squares. Fullscreen mode makes the game really low res and doesn't fill the screen on cinammon.
Fullscreen and windowed mode both have problems, it may be gnome acting up but it still is not great.
Fullscreen doesn't cover gnome's top bar and if alt-tabbed the game's window becomes so small it is impossible to quit the game.
Fonts work on my installation now, I guess the problem I had before was from my distro's locales and not from proton.
If it's not a problem to run some things on the terminal, linux gets a great experience overall
protontricks 1113000 wmp9 quartz devenum
After printing the screen, the audio gets out of sync and stutters on the moment you press the print button
When alt tabbing the game runs in the space where the budgie bar is not drawn when going back to it, the game does not run behind the bar, it just resizes to keep the bar in front of it until restarting the game
On windowed mode the game only shows kb+mouse prompts even with the mouse away from the game window and using only the controller, not a problem on fullscreen
Slowdowns when printing the screen
Runs the same as a native game
Protonfixes seemed to be running when I opened the game, after disabling it the game ran the same way.
Does not work and the native version is bad
The "fixes" that people say make the game run are for the native version, it's impossible to make the windows version run and the linux version does not crossplay right now, and from what I see it won't ever crossplay with people on the epic games, which is bullshit.
It runs perfectly fine
The game runs ok but as the graphics are comparable to a psp, I think it's strange that some scenes make the game run at 45-50fps. Not a big problem because it's still very playable, it's just strange.
It seems to not be optimized, maybe it's only on linux but, as I haven't tried it on windows I can't know for sure.
The game shows a lot of stuttering, it gets better the more I play but it begins terrible, after about 20 minutes the game becomes truly playable.
Runs perfectly
Didn't change anything except from enabling proton, worked out of the box.
The game works really good, I played the whole of it on proton and had a really good experience, aside from the arcade
The arcade audio does not work at all
Runs perfectly
Did not change anything on proton, ran the same as on windows as soon as I enabled it, 60fps all the way, everything on max settings.
