You need to manually import your saves from the demo. Essentially just drag them from the demo and drop them in the corresponding main game folder.
Everything runs and works well with no performance issues or input lag.
Lowered settings and capped display at 40hz
Game is fully functional along with most mods. I seemingly get slightly better performance on lower versions of proton.
Changed keybinds to fit preference
Controls definitely need tinkering. The community layout wasn't doing it for me so I had to tinker with it from there. The game otherwise runs flawlessly, finished with me and my friend with zero issues. I have yet to try the Part 5 update as of yet.
I had no issues at all. The slowdown others have reported when targeting multiple enemies is so small that it's difficult to notice.
It's hard to recommend this on deck when it runs so poorly. I imagine it'd run well on better linux systems but it's near unplayable on deck
Several lighting issues which do not seem to be an issue on better hardware
Inputs were weirdly misread at times or accepted twice.
The game struggles to maintain a reasonable framerate. It's consistantly sub 20.
Several of the prerendered animated cutscenes in X4 were not loading properly. This seems hit or miss, and might just be a bug with the game itself.
No issues or crashes at all. Played from start to finish 111%.
Native is broken. Launch via proton and you'll have a flawless experience.
Several rebinds required for essential inputs.
Several levels were near unplayable due to artifacts and other graphics irregularities.
Game ran consistently poor.
Crashed whenever I would return to the main menu. Had to have my friend join off me for coop because his menu would crash me.
Extreme graphical irregularities
Crashes upon returning to the main menu
Even on low settings it runs very poorly. If you play coop you'd need to invite your friend to your game as the main menu seems to cause crashes on deck. Several levels are rendered unplayable due to extreme model artifacting.
Occasionally had trouble getting the game to recognize the deck as my input method. This might be an issue with the game itself as it constantly shouts at you, letting you know controller support is still "in progress".
Works mostly well besides the occasional control issues. Sometimes warping to your plot helps the game recognize the analog sticks.
Other than occasional control issues, this works perfectly out of the box.
