Works great with minor tweaks
Cutscenes did not work initially, but after switching to pipewire from pulseaudio (for unrelated reasons), cutscenes seem to be working perfectly now
The native version had some audio issues with my setup, possibly a pipewire bug. Use proton instead
proton-ge-custom 7.1.GE.2-1
wait for the native version
cutscene audio only rarely plays
some, but not all, cutscenes were replaced with the test cutscene, sometimes with subtitles but never sound
using a dualshock ps4 controller, if my controller was ever disconnected i would have to reboot the game to get the gamepad input to be recognized
about 50% of the time, I could not load a save from the main menu without crashing
game barely shuddered to life & frequently ran at < 20 fps
about 50% of the loading screens I encountered would cause a hard crash. This includes the loading screen you get when you start the game from the main menu
Crashes too frequently to be enjoyable at the moment
Some UI textures show only as test pattern, or severely distorted
If you are going to play, try to not forget to save frequently, to avoid losing progress to crashes
Proton 5.0-10 runs this game much better than newer versions
a few images are missing on the region overview
Works pretty well, given it's still early access
Hard to tell if this was just early access growing pains or not, but I could not consistently achieve a smooth framerate with no stuttering
Entering some of the wrecks caused significant fps drops for a few seconds
occasionally the UI would vanish, fixable by saving & reloading the game. I'd suspect this is just bc the game is unfinished though.
I was unable to play until i switched to proton 6.3.8 - any higher version or GE variant would immediately crash after the unity splash screen
