resolution is hard to choose right in the menus without making changes to controller preset
with Advanced Launcher & PhysXDevice.dll installed, and Anti-Aliasing & Ambient Occlusion OFF, the game works wonders
I used protontricks to install d3dx9 d3dcompiler and calibri for the launcher
I used the four Grips Buttons as F5-F8 to change in-game FOV (using the Advanced Launcher)
it did not want to launch right, or even launch at all at times, but installing the Advanced Launcher fixes it
next to the Advaned Launcher, I have also managed (with lots of tinkering) to install the HD Texture Pack mod, the PS3 DLC and 4k Cinematics Mod. ReShade does not seem to work
often connectivity issues
puttin the steam deck into sleep mode while playing makes the game unable to connect to the serves when you resume, requiring you to fully restart the game
Added the hotkey to the EA App Overlay
EA App launcher bugs out sometimes
Depending in the game mode, sometime the game crashes the whole steam deck and a hard reset is required
Volta game mode is bugged and unplayable. That mode also sometimes fully crashes the Steam Deck, hard reset required
Some matches in seasons game mode have huge connectivity issues
non-Steam (official Telltale installer)
arrows with wasd A with enter
non-Steam (Humble Bundle drm-free)
The game only loads the intro of the game video, and at one moment of time the game fully crashes
if you don't mind lower quality cutscenes than on pc, and the bars top and bottom, it is a great title for steam deck
the shadows were sometimes weird, but my issue was with the cutscenes. sometimes slower, and most of the times lower quality than on pc
runs with bars top and bottom
non-Steam (official Telltale installer)
Walking around the city at times fps drops
MSAA is bugged. with it ON the game runs in slow motion, with it OFF there is no issue whatsoever
Other than it is 30 FPS capped, which is not Steam Deck or Linux related, it is running without any issues
there seems to be a rare bug that occurs if you uninstall the program, and then want to install it back, making the whole Steam OS Gaming Mode unresponsive, buttons not working ocrrectly, unable to install anything anymore, launch anything, go into sleep mode, shut down, you can pretty much no longer use your steam deck unless you hard reset. afterwards everything is back to normal unless you try again from gaming mode to install RetroArch, then the whole bug starts all-over again. the only fix I found was installing the software from desktop mode.
added ALT + F4 to be able to quit the game, also boud the arrow keys for dialogue, and Y button as H to hide the UI
You can't login to the Konami ID
Konami ID login issue
Connection issues at times, but most of the times works fine
The game is great on Steam Deck, but you will not be able to load your save file from the Konami ID. There seems to be a workaround, but I found it too complicated. I would have done it for another game, but for this one.. hm.. not worth it.
