Runs out of the box with Proton 5.0.7, no issues at all. Didn't tested multiplayer so far, but ran C&C as well as Red alert.
Generally its good playable, play for ~75 minutes and it was fun to play. Proton 5.13.4, launcher settings: %command% --launcher-skip
Sound cracklings can be fixed with this pulseaudio settings: /etc/pulse/daemon.conf default-sample-format = s32le default-sample-rate = 96000 resample-method = speex-float-5
After Alt-Tab you need to reset fullscreen/borderless as taskbar is in the way
high and ultra settings are not possible even with 2070 Super, but medium had constant 60fps

When the tech-preview features Path-Raytracing is enabled, I had random game freezes. It just stopps but audio still works. This stopped once I disabled pathtracing features and set raytracing to ultra. All other Raytracing options as well as DLSS on qualily is enabled and works pretty well.
I had lots of trouble getting the game to work with my previous graphics card 2070 SUPER. It just freezed randomly after starting a new game. Unable to play. Also with disabled DLSS and raytracing. Now with 4070 Ti it works great despite the downgrade explained above. But raytracing looks pretty amazing with not a lot of an FPS drop actually. Can play with 100+ FPS most of the time now.

Only the new vulkan implementation seems not working, but it runs smooth on DirectX with Proton 5.9 GE 8 ST.
Sometimes some lag spikes/fps drops, but not that big of a deal. And only in the first Minutes within the tutorial.
I get 90-100 FPS while zooming out and about 50-60FPS on close street look. There is definitely performance improvements necessary, but the game is very good playable. Played over an hour so far with no crash or serious issue.
Intro doesn't play, and game starts with black screen. You can fix this with this setting:
SkipIntroVideos=True
In this file within the pfx:
427940/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/Local Settings/Application Data/Titan/Saved/Config/WindowsNoEditor/GameUserSettings.ini
clicking the buttons is not precise, you need to hit the bottom of the button. Probably not a linux issue, maybe something with borderless mode. And its not game breaking.
Launching straight from steam result in a error message and game closes again. But with experimental, no problem. Didn't tried GE versions.
PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 PROTON_NO_FSYNC=1 gamemoderun %command% -USEALLAVAILABLECORES -cpuLoadRebalancing -NOTEXTURESTREAMING -ignorepipelinecache -sgadriver=Vulkan
Tested a bit around, without tweaking it was lagging hard. A lot of FPS drops on every scene change. With these launch parameter the game runs almost completely smooth now.
PROTON_ENABLE_NVAPI=1 PROTON_HIDE_NVIDIA_GPU=0 VKD3D_CONFIG=dxr11 VKD3D_FEATURE_LEVEL=12_1 gamemoderun %command%
slight stuttering in the first minutes of gameplay of new scenes
Didn't try other proton versions, as said little stuttering probably because of shaders. But its not that big of a deal. Other than that the game runs pretty smooth, graphics look amazing. I've played for about 50 minutes wihout any crash or major problem.
Despite the sound issues on non-experimental proton versions, its running quite smooth.
There wasn't any sound in the game with any proton versionn, or PulseAudio Setting I tried. It only has sound with Proton Experimental.
The game openes, but it can't connect to the service."No Platform available. Please make sure you run with the correct launcher."
Tried different proton launchers, from GE MF and GE ST, nothing works.
The game just closes again after that notice. /broken
Dev team is aware of the crash issue on linux and is looking into it. The mega patch from fm-zocker.net fix the issue though.
realized some sound crackling sometimes, but not always
Choosing database is not possible, but there are workarounds:
save a savegame on a windows client and load it afterwards.
download and install the mega update patch into the pfx: https://www.fm-zocker.net/content/de/waf/?category236=Megapatch&downloads236=546
After that was installed, I was able to select every database without crash and start new game on linux.
Both crash incidents were fixed by the developers
The [publiccommunitytest] branch on steam for this game has a fix for both crashes:
- Start new game is now working totally fine
- Season finish calculations doesn't crash the game on wine
100% playable now!
