-dx12
Runs great with Proton Experimental and the -dx12 flag like mentioned in a previous post. I also changed my graphics settings to force DirectX12 there and haven't run into any issues.

-dx12
Game ran very well for me. I did not notice any graphical issues or slowdowns with my system. I forced dx12 even though you can enable it in game. The game does warn you that dx12 could cause issues but that's a generic warning no matter what OS you ues and I havn't had any issues yet.
Game will ask to install some C++ libraries at first start and those installed without issue after clicking OK.

Game has a native Linux version, which is not recommended. Playing the Windows Version works fine.

It's enjoyable, but be aware that terraforming and road building are very annoying because some nodes don't work and game freezes sometimes.
Sometimes landscape textures disappearing, but get reloaded again after a few seconds
If using the landscape terraforming tool, the game sometimes freezes completely. Same can happen, if building many roads in a row.
Nodes for the roads do not work very well - cannot connect a new road to an existing road.

Every now and then the mipmapping (?) does not work correctly for a short period of time and textures (on the 3d objects and in the menus images) are displayed in low resolution
In some cases, however, there are drops in the frame rate for a few seconds - often when only a few objects are displayed
In summary, except for a few minor issues, the game works smoothly and without crashes or other serious problems
Sometimes some lag spikes/fps drops, but not that big of a deal. And only in the first Minutes within the tutorial.
I get 90-100 FPS while zooming out and about 50-60FPS on close street look. There is definitely performance improvements necessary, but the game is very good playable. Played over an hour so far with no crash or serious issue.

The game (playtest version) runs out of the box. Performance is not great and FPS are fluctuating widely, but it is definitely playable. It seems to run a bit better if you switch to DX12 in the options menu. Also, the two options "Object Distance" and "Post Processing" have a major performance impact, so lower these first if you need more FPS. Since this is a UE4 game, I tried forcing Vulkan by adding the "-vulkan" command line option. This did not work unfortunately and only resulted in an error message saying that it was missing shaders which I guess would have to be supplied by the developer.
