However some videos didn't work with normal Proton and had to use Glorious Eggroll.

I had to apply the workaround to skip intro videos, otherwise the game would just be a black screen.
Multiplayer is not this game's forte. Nothing wrong on Linux.

Running same as on Windows.

game runs great. just set to 40hz with fsr (which is prob on by default) and it'll look clean and sharp.
i almost 100%ed this game entirely on the deck with only a little playtime on my windows pc, so go for it :)

Every once in a while the audio starts crackling for like 2 seconds and cut for 1 second after. Usually after dahsing moves when I get far from the rest the team.
Outside of the audio issue after starting the game there's like a minute long loading/title screen before the logos and opening.
The game itself works perfectly.
not a linux problem
it just works; 6.3-8
Runs pretty well out of the box. Enjoyable despite the minor bugs
Sometimes some sound effects don't play
Issues with directional pad in some menus
Scarce little lag spikes
You need to ensure that Proton GE is installed as that was the only way to get the game to even launch for me
some cutscenes have no audio
Make sure to lower game setting before starting and increase them after the tutorials.

Not working as yet for me
Tried Proton 5 - present, game "starts" and immediately closes

Not being able to use the trigger for blocking is a huge problem, as it forces you to use mouse and keyboard.
Proton-6.5-GE-1 GloriousEggroll
The left and right triggers would not work. I tested this on the current version of Proton and with GloriousEggroll. I have also tested this on Windows 10 to make sure it wasn't just the game.
Sometimes, the camera seemed to "stick" on one of the axes. For example, sometimes the camera would get stuck straight up for a small amount of time, but moving left and right was fine. This seemed to only happen when using the mouse.
The initial loading screen does not load using normal proton (just a black screen until the game loads). It does show up with GloriousEggroll.
Twice my controller was not recognized/didn't work when I started up the game. I made sure it was plugged in before loading the game, as the game will not detect a controller if you plug it in while the game is open (that is normal for Neptunia games).
Using a mouse and Keyboard for this game is a terrible experience, even with rebinding. It's just as bad on Windows 10.

5.21-GE-1 GloriousEggroll
The initial loading video works with Proton 5.21-GE-1 out of the box, that would be the only customization needed
The only issue would be that the initial movie does not play leaving one to stare at a black screen for a few minutes.
Proton-5.9-GE-5-ST (GloriousEggroll)
Crackling is incredibly infrequent. Only noticed once or twice.
Game starts windowed and will not remember full screen setting. Has to be set each launch.
Keyboard is horrible to use, but probably more to do with the game, however some controller binds were registered backwards by default?!

Works completely fine out of the box. Add mf-install if the startup screen being just black bothers you.
The startup loading screen will display as a blackscreen without mf-install. Any other cutscenes seem to work fine even without it.

Works fine
don't cover the kde status panel, need to configure it to auto hide
Need a bit of patience, at start have black screen for 90 seconds, after it works without problems
The "Welcome to 4 Goddesses Online" screen or the loading screen is not working but you'll just have to wait because of how Unreal Engine 4 loading works.
If you are on a desktop, keep an eye of the hard drive activity LED of your computer since you know that the game is still loading. But if you were on a laptop, it depends if your laptop has HDD activity LED. This would lessen up the load time if you installed it on an SSD. Because of how Unreal Engine works on this game, it needs to load the whole .pak
file first and then it extracts the package content into the RAM.

The game didn't open for me steam id goes green then goes back blue game never opens
#Broken:(
For my PS4 controller, I had to enable playstation controller configuration to ensure the game detected it correctly. Without this, only the keyboard would work.
The opening videos will not play by default, and instead simply black screen. To fix this, I simply installed the Media Foundation libraries into the prefix, using mf-install: https://github.com/z0z0z/mf-install After doing this, the game worked absolutely flawlessly.

no idea if tweaks would work. out of box, game seems 100% playable but I cant get past the initial tutorial, keeps crashing to desktop as soon as you hit the "warp point" to end said tutorial.

Because I already cleared this game on windows, I'm able to test everything from the get go, and every elements of the game works perfectly without any tweaks just like you would expect it to be. I've also tested it with high settings (all maxed out with vsync off), Windowed/Borderless/Full Screen and the performance results are the same on windows, All CG's loaded correctly, and the event scene also works correctly. The only problem that I've encountered is the loading video after you launch the game (Because the loading video is mp4), the video doesn't play and it only gives a black output, It may be able to work if you tweak it by installing wmp with winetricks, but you don't necessarily need it though, just wait for 2 - 3 minutes and the game will run normally.

Bad performance for such a simple looking game but should be playable from start to finish with no serious glitches. The online part is borderline unplayable lag but that's nothing to do with proton it's just like that.

Seems to run perfectly and very smooth. Unfortunately the game takes quite a long time to startup with a black screen before it gets to the main menu but after that, the game runs perfectly in DXVK in Proton. I haven't played all of the game but It plays just like it does in Windows and performs very well. It just works. No tweaks required when i tried it.

When starting game it is missing separate pop-up screen and instead the screen is black. Then resulting minutes long startup time seems to be issue also with Windows. Couldn't start new game, because the game hang (or would have taken extremely long time). Compared to Windows the game suffers big performance drop everywhere and is unplayable on my rig.

Havent tried any tweaks yet but hangs at launch

Runs awesome out of the box. But just like in windows, I suggest to install the game in an SSD to avoid long time loading the game

To support generic no-name gamepad - enabled it in Big Picture mode, and in game properties set Steam Input option to "Forced Off". Everything else runs fine out of the box (except long first run, but this is normal for this game).

Runs perfectly out of the box with no required tweaks, issues, or fixes necessary

Long start-up time, https://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Four_Goddesses_Online:_Cyber_Dimension_Neptune#Skip_intro_videos is essential to skip the start videos.
DS4 works in most games but not this game.

What you need to do to make the game run properly is navigate to "SteamLibrary/steamapps/common/Cyberdimension Neptunia 4 Goddesses Online/CryberdimensionNeptunia4GoddessesOnline/Binaries/Win64" and copy the contents of this pastebin entry into dxvk.conf (create the file if it doesn't exist) https://pastebin.com/CBy0fxS4
If you don't have Win64 try Win32

I tested with Proton 3.7-8 and 3.16-1 beta and neither fixed the issue. I also tested with disabling esync, d3d11, and using wine d3d11 and none of them worked. The game appears to work fine, but fps drops to <10 in dungeons when looking towards the center of it.

The game launches, but fails to utilize more than 10% of my gpu. This results in some area of the game suffering from significant frame loss and running at very low frame rate ( < 10 FPS) other regions can run at a constant 60 FPS. Everything works, however, I can not call the experience playeable. Making the game run through Wine D3d11 results in even poorer results. I'll certainly wait for a newer version of DXVK to see if it improves performance. Currently using DXVK version 0.8

Change outfit will cause low frame rate, and the game become unplayable after that.

Played the game via Play on Linux prior with some hick-ups, but when switching to Steam Play, it ran better than perfectly. It even recognized my controller, which was not the case with regular Wine.

Long startup time, Low frame rate. Full screen mod will crash. If useing PS4 Controller, need to turn off all the setting from ¨Manage Game -> Controller Option¨

Abnormally long launch time and has issues entering full screen mode.
