Runs pretty well out of the box. Enjoyable despite the minor bugs
Sometimes some sound effects don't play
Issues with directional pad in some menus
Scarce little lag spikes
I had to apply the workaround to skip intro videos, otherwise the game would just be a black screen.
Multiplayer is not this game's forte. Nothing wrong on Linux.
After the load screen, the software gets stuck in a black screen
Only when enabling "Adaptative Quality"; otherwise it is fine.
Runs smoothly (nearly) out of the box
I had to disable VSync, otherwise the video would stutter every second.
env --unset SDL_VIDEODRIVER %command%
The game is unable to create a SDL window in Wayland if the SDL_VIDEODRIVER environment variable is set. Just unsetting it in the launch command solves the issue.
Works well with Proton 5.0 (without Lutris script, the opening videos are black but can be skipped)
After installing the game, I just put the Lutris script in the game installation directory and run it. This fixed the black opening videos.
Black screens instead of videos
Intro videos can be skipped with a click, but I can't get past the black screen after starting a new game, even with MF-install.
As mentioned in this review, the solution from https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Proton/issues/4705#issuecomment-809913758 works perfectly.
Without this, the game crashed in the main menu.
I experienced very slight "graphical rollbacks" until I disabled VSync, but they were not disturbing the gameplay.
WINEDLLOVERRIDES=libglesv2=d %command%
Works out of the box
The window when launching the game the first time after installation is black, but can be accepted by pressing ENTER.
