Played on SteamDeck with high settings

Starts well
Played with Proton 9.0-4.
gamemoderun %command%
Apart from a slight performance hit, this seems to run practically the same as on Redmond's Spyware OS.
Using the default settings I had a very slow frame rate on my GTX960M. Disabling V-sync resolved this.
There are a lot of problems with the player or NPC characters clipping into their environment or having weird collision/physics issues, but I doubt that this is a problem due to playing it through Proton.
Out-of-the-box experience
Played with Proton 7.0-4, no problem whatsoever on my system

Main Menu doesn't support controllers. Used touchscreen to start game

9 FPS - Unplayable
9 FPS is typical
I first tried running this game with Proton 7.0-3, and now 7.0-4. The game will not run above 10 FPS, and 8 or 9 is typical, making this game unplayable. I will try tinkering, and then make another report.

Works good
Played with Proton 6.3-8
Something is wrong with AMD cards and this game, just locked at 17-20 FPS
Still gives 17 FPS on current hardware, same issue was on 5700XT, worked fine with nVidia

Proton 6.13-GE-1 GloriousEggroll
taskset -c 0,2,4,6 %command% (known Wine + Unity 3D bug in case of poor performance limit the amount of cores/threads available to the game to fix performance issues)
taskset -c 0,2,4,6 (to fix this on a 8 Core / 16 Thread CPU)

Not perfect, but working
exlusive fullscreen not working due severe performance issues
Of course the used system is not really up to date and an Rx560 is some kind of paper tiger, but 1280x720 with medium detail for getting stable 40fps+ is a performance issue
The first fight with Kroax was not correctly triggered (I don't know if this is a Proton related issue)
Right now with 5700XT it's barely playable :(
On all settings frame rate is below 30 fps and input is finicky, so it's quite unplayable. Seems like some problem with AMD GPU/driver since nVidia GPUs used to play nicely with this title at any setting level

Proton-5.9-GE-3-ST GloriousEggroll
The new game intro movie froze halfway through.
Worked out of the box even on my UHD630. Performance is very poor due to high graphics settings, but otherwise worked just fine.
At 2K ran at 6-10 FPS, at 1080p ran at about 15 FPS

Performance is good. you have to use mf-install with game pfx ( https://github.com/z0z0z/mf-install ) if you want to see the story intro (after start a new game)

5.9-GE-2-MF GloriousEggroll
Mouse movement feels sluggish even at 80fps
FPS dips down as low as 40 in some areas
Intro video plays after installing Media Foundation

No significant problems experienced. Game is fully playable.
UI response in true full screen mode is unbelievably slow. In usual borderless window mode no performance problems, only main menu seems too narrow with control title text overlapping in some places.
New game intro cutscene video doesn't appear. Must press a key to skip it.

Mouse issues are fixed with Proton 4.11-4. This is the best and only good starting point for playing this game because of the mouse issues with previous versions of Proton. You may experience random freezes pre-start of the game - this is a Proton problem. Just wait for x minutes (up to about 11 minutes) until Proton finally gives up or try alt-tabbing and wait for force close. For most it should run perfectly without anything but I add only here to use wine d3d11 as for some gpu's like the one you see listed with this there will be about double performance that way which will allow better graphics. This is it. If you want to play this game on Linux, now its great.

Proton still has mouse problems with O:SC that prevent the game from being played comfortably. Older Proton versions have more mouse problems as Proton has received mouse fixes. Now and then the game may freeze while starting but has not so far once in-game. Only the mouse problem is on concern being about 8-10 times in 3-4 hours that is every 20-30 minutes or so requiring alt tab, game save, and restart.

First cut scene gives a blank screen - Esc to skip. In game menu mouse control gets lost sometimes , multiple Alt-Tab can get it back. quit game gives a screen freeze - then Alt-F4 to exit.

crashes immediately after execution showing a crash report hint

You can use normal Nvidia driver now but must be 415.22 or newer (to fix missing character models + better performance) and Proton 16.6 or newer is best

You have to use a driver with stream output support e.g. 396.54.09 for nvidia and proton 3.16-4-beta. Additionally disable vsync in the ingame menu and you get max fps. Runs flawless that way.

Low fps, but runs at least

No character model nor NPCs

Black screen when playing intro video, Game runs but Missing Character Models

Game runs but Missing Character Models

It hangs when trying to start it

No character models so while it works and is stable there's no point in trying

Haven't found any solution yet.
