Worked without tinkering; Proton 8.0-3
I have played single player for about two hours with no issues at all; a few saves, exists, and startups. Big thanks to the people at Valve for making this happen. And, huge thanks to the people here at ProtonDB, for allowing us to share our successes and failures with each other.
Fantastic educational game; standalone based on AC Origins; full game environment; amazing production value.

9 FPS - Unplayable
9 FPS is typical
I first tried running this game with Proton 7.0-3, and now 7.0-4. The game will not run above 10 FPS, and 8 or 9 is typical, making this game unplayable. I will try tinkering, and then make another report.
Runs perfectly with Proton Experimental. I only played for about one hour so far; it is fantastic to see this working on day one - thank you Valve! And, this looks like an amazingly great game overall - thank you Bethesda!
