Runs perfectly, exactly as it does on Windows and Xbox.

With a bit of tinkering, the game runs smoothly, with only occasional visual artifacts on the playable character in cutscenes.

Played character flickers in some cutscenes, otherwise gameplay completely smooth.
The game wouldn't launch from Steam with default settings (no reaction whatsoever). Couldn't launch by forcing Proton Experimental. Forcing the use of Proton 6.3-8 with modified launch options resulted in smooth gameplay.

Stick of Truth works out of the box after switching to Proton Experimental and setting up launch commands.

Controller support works. I am unsure why the mouse's cursor is visible when playing on the controller, but I'm not concerned. At least for me, trying to run without any launch commands and the recommended Proton didn't launch the game.

No issues that I could find. Runs and plays great.
Runs flawlessly.

Flawless experience
Everything just worked out of the box

Worked exactly as expected on first attempt.

Needs custom run options, then it works fine
It just works

I had to force proton experimental for the game to start up

5w TDP, 500mhz GPU, and 30fps limit
Using bazzite:39

added "d3dcompiler_47"
Black Screen

Proton 8.0-3
everything works out of the box

I originally installed this on my 'Linux Games' drive, but it just wouldn't run. After trying some launch arguements, I decided to move the install to my OS drive. Immediately flawless. Playing with an Xbox (One) Wireless Controller via Bluetooth.

Limited TDP to 3 Watts and runs completely fine and the fans stay near silent.

The game has a D3Dcompiler problem, which compiles HLSL Shaders for DXBC. Installing the d3dcompiler_47 in protontricks solved the problem of the black screen.

After autodesk logo it give black screen. Sounds are playing well. It resolved by switching into X11 from Wayland
There is a weird behaviour from the game. It will use all the CPU power and waste a lot of battery, it is better to limit the TDP. I set mine to 3 watt and it works perfectly fine. I also cap it at 30 fps.
Crackling happens randomly when you put the Deck to sleep. Sometimes the audio is fine when you wake the device, sometimes it's worse that it introduces out of sync (faster audio?) problem.
Surprisingly this game does not require Ubisoft Connect App, because of that the game has a lot less issue compared to its sequel. I finish the game from start to finish without any frustrating problem that is caused by Proton. I had to tinker a bit but it's minimal. Because this game is lightweight, I managed to have the battery run for 6-7 hours long.
Played from start to finish with no issues
Game is capped at 30fps by default
You can lower the tdp for better battery life
Great experience for anyone trying to play it

Proton 6.3-8: works ---- Proton 7.0-6: flickering ---- Proton experimental: works
Locked framerate to 30 fps and 6w for power in the Steam profile settings.
30fps + 6w tweak was only for battery life

Had too use launch options to run, but after that no issues with performance or in any other regard.
Game runs perfectly on my system, acts just like if the game was running on windows!
Two tiny audio crackles happened midway through my playthrough, not a big issue though.

Received error message " The save file appears to be damaged and cannot be loaded." This makes the game basically unplayable. Will not load auto saves and if you die you have to start a new game.
Black screen after Autodesk Gameware logo
The weird thing is that menu seems responding because keys (like esc) are making sounds, but the screen stays black
Lowered fps and power. Ran and looked great at 30 fps
Out of the 5 or so games i have tried on the deck, this has been the smoothest. Great right out of the box.
Lock to 30FPS, limit to TDP to 6W
For some reason this game really hits the CPU hard. I found that limiting the TDP to something really low like 4 or 6W kept the fan and temps in check without impacting performance at all. Played start to finish on the Deck and no issues.
Played the game start to finish, without any issues or hiccups. First I loaded up a cloud save, and then I played a new save. I used the default controls, and I found them intuitive and on par with kb+mouse in terms of intuitiveness. I played throughout the day, and the game resumed flawlessly whenever I woke up my Steam Deck.
