Works flawlessly apart from audio. Only issue is the locales not syncing unless you change them on the games settings.

The game will not load certain videos/art and instead show a TV Static screen on Steam's Proton. Switching to Proton GE fixes this.
The game will start on Korean, that is not a Proton bug, same thing happens on Windows. Just go to settings after the game finishes installing to turn it back to English
Also the game will cap your FPS to 60 by default. Not a bug. Go to game's settings and set FPS settings to Auto to match FPS with your monitors refresh rate.

PROTON_ENABLE_WAYLAND=1
Note that there is no v-sync option atleast for the steam version, so you better get used to tearing if you aren't already.

With the latest CANTO 8 update (Build ID: 18642731), in the Qtile (X11) environment, I observed that using GE-Proton9-23—which has been tested frequently—causes the screen to freeze on startup, leading to a non-responsive state. In contrast, GE-Proton10-2 worked correctly in my tests. On my system, using GE-Proton10-3 causes a problem where the video is missing, so at this point, GE-Proton10-2 is the latest version that works properly.

PROTON_ENABLE_WAYLAND=1
It works perfectly in hyprland.

No TV static screen on this version of Proton. Animation and Banners video runs perfectly fine.

On newer versions of Proton the game either doesn't open at all (even though Steam says it's running) or shows a black screen

Somewhat GE-Proton9-26 will make the game stuck in black screen. Switch proton9.0-4

Missing a lots of video play, works fine with untinkering proton 9.0-4 but requires tinkering when switch to GE
The game sometimes missing video plays in entrance and extraction banner. However, for my case some characters (BL Faust, Butler Ryo, SS5 entrance) do play videos but others don't.
However, the black screen bug will occurs if I switch to other proton version unless it's tinkered GE. Tinkered GE also doesn't make the video play work but rather set unanimated splash art instead, no entrance video + distorted version and PMoon's logo on start.

Black screen on startup

Is it possible to run on Ubuntu?

Still mostly works with any default version of Proton, but the opening screen, loading screen, and limited-time banners are replaced with colorbars.

Restart is required to change languege from korean
work well with experimental.

Simply downloading ProtonUp-Qt and downloading the newest version then restarting your machine and switching the version of Proton that the game uses and it works flawlessly.

Starts in korean, but language setting is easy enough to find

Had to agree to a Terms and Conditions on first launch in Korean, after navigating through that it's pretty easy to find settings and swap to English.

Font was present during initial launch, after installing the game files all of the UI text disappeared completely
Some people say that swapping to Proton GE can solve the issue but in my case it didn't

I disabled the right trackpad click as left click (I prefer to use R2 as a left click, which was already the case too), I kept it working as a mouse otherwise as it's this game main way of interaction.
I also :
- unbinded the B button (it defaulted to E key, which has no purpose besides dezooming)
- Set the Y button to P key (it switches to "Win Rate" and "Damage" in battle, while some people might not use them much, I do find it convenient to be able to simply press a button to toggle between both of them)
- Set the X button to Enter key (it can be used in some screens to validate without having to aim the mouse to a tiny confirmation button, and in battle once you set all your moves, either manually or with "Win Rate"/"Damage", pressing enter confirms them and starts the attack).
Text is tiny, I don't mind it too much but some people would have trouble with it.
The game once transitioned from a Luxcavation battle into a black screen, forcing me to close it down forcefully and not letting the rewards arrive, it happened only once, and maybe it's not proton only(?)
One important thing is about the language, the game starts the first time (at least on my side) in Korean, if it does for you as well: it asks for your consent on two EULAs (which you already accepted when installing the game on steam), and then it'll ask to install an update
Only then will you be able to begin the game by cliking on the screen, it starts in a visual novel scene, the language cannot be set in that mode, you'll have to continue until the first battle tutorial, once you are there, you can click on the setting button (a cog) and set the language from there, once that is done, you should quit the game and restart it, this time it should be in the language you have chosen.

No problem whatsoever, the language can easily be changed in the game settings

Only play if you can deal with the painfully low res. (it is so low it makes it hard to see icons and stuff)
game is extremy low resalotion. makes it hard to read and see the icons.
its very low res. and editing the res in-game did Not work, infact it made it worse most of the time. you can tell how bad it is by comparing your screeb to the Pic of the game in the first combats, the game shows pics ps things to teach you about them. And it loo,s SOOOO much cleaner in the pics then what it looks like on the screen.
Il recamend finding a fix before playing.

Game is functionally unplayable after October 31st patch due to a complete lack of user interface.
All UI elements are completely broken and no text displays, meaning for new installs it's now impossible to switch the game to English. Attempting to enter any content is extremely difficult due to the lack of any visual feedback. This seems to be an extreme exacerbation of the current UI corruption on Windows.

Launches and plays perfectly. Some others mentioned about gacha, that I havent tried. And the launch option, I don't think it actually does anything. The game launches in korean and that's it, not an issue. Proton 9.0-3

Needs to skip tutorial and change the language if you don't speak korean

LANG="en_US.utf8" %command%
Despite the launch parameter, game will still start in Korean after first install, which imo is fine since it's an easy fix and you don't really need to know the language to find the language option in settings. Without ProtonGE, some media, such as identity/EGO videos on the extract screen will be missing and instead use placeholder image akin to TV test patterns.
Outside of that? Plays exactly the same as it does on Windows.

On wayland, windowed does not actually scale the resolution but stretches the current one.
On Xorg, make sure to run it either in small resolution while windowed or fullscreen with disabled compositing, for the maximum performance.
Without tinkering, the game does not play video files. This includes main screen, banners and id acquisition videos. To fix this, switch to GE proton.
The game also starts in Korean. You can probably change this via launch options. The language can be changed in the settings in game.

Works great out of the box. Default language is Korean, but that can be changed later. Some textures are missing, fixed with Proton GE
Fixed when using Proton GE
Occasional inability to use the interface after completing a dungeon

Missing images on the login screen and extraction banners on Proton Experimental, Using Proton-GE solved this instantly.
The missing images on the start menu and extraction page I had doesn't affect gameplay so it woulod still play fine out of the box but swapping to Proton-GE makes the game run perfectly with no issues to be found.

Touchscreen handled a bit weird compared to mobile. Expected, but notable

LANG="en_US.utf8" %command%
It will work out of the box for the most part, but you need to add LANG="en_US.utf8" %command% to your launch options to fix a crash related to dungeons, and use Proton-GE instead of Proton Experimental to fix FMV's. Game will start in Korean, and can be changed to English after completing the tutorial.

When originally on GE I was only lead onto a black screen.
Switch to experimental, add the english utf8, you'll be fine
