Vague "Assertion failed!" message pointing to a wine binary.
Reaches the EAC launcher banner but fails assertion on what I assume is an AMD/Mesa driver mismatch. Looking at the proton/wine files it ships with it seems to only be compatibly with NVidia for some reason.
Due to an existing Wine bug involving DXVK not being able to properly establish a pipeline on certain systems, I was unable to run the game under Proton 8. Switching to Proton 7, before the bug was introduced, allows the game to run properly, otherwise you'll get an "Assertion Failed!" with winevulkan loader_thunks.c.
Memory leak as of 20 August 2023 on any version of Proton.
Game "runs" like usual but unfortunately there's a massive memory leak at the campfire that prevents you from even getting into a match.
Game was available on Amazon for free a while back, grabbed it since I remember hearing about it from the dev's ravings on the usual channels in the Persona community when it was getting ready for release. Great game, stylistically reminds me of my personal golden years of gaming. Stuff like Persona 4, Freedom Wars, Tokyo Xanadu, etc., the list goes on. With that said, be prepared for a bit of jank, this is an indie project made by one dude (though with a seemingly infinite VA budget).
Game is functionally unplayable after October 31st patch due to a complete lack of user interface.
All UI elements are completely broken and no text displays, meaning for new installs it's now impossible to switch the game to English. Attempting to enter any content is extremely difficult due to the lack of any visual feedback. This seems to be an extreme exacerbation of the current UI corruption on Windows.
Cutscenes have sound effects dulled on the right side, voices only come in from the right side as well.
Running the game in a borderless window causes it to take up 100% CPU and cause thermal shutdown.
Like many titles, this game will not detect a DS5 controller unless it's plugged in or has Steam Input enabled (causing incorrect button prompts). This is a hardware issue with hid-playstation on certain kernels.
Crashing during a cutscene or the like will pretty much necessitate restarting your playthrough, since it can cause numerous bugs and instabilities.
Overheats and murders my fucking laptop every 20 minutes. I have good thermals, too.
The instability issues make playing the game in its current state a horrible experience. I'd imagine it's even worse on the Deck.
gamemoderun %command% -dx11
Audio cuts out every now and then on DX12.
Borderless Fullscreen adds an extra pixel longitudally.
FSR2 runs horribly with this game for some reason. I need to set it to Ultra Performance for a playable framerate at 1440p. TAAU doesn't even help performance at all.
Game runs horrifically on DX12 due to memory leaks. Do not attempt to run.
Jumping sometimes has input delay or doesn't work at all, pausing and unpausing fixes this.
This sucks, honestly. I was really looking forward to this game and I still do really enjoy it when it, yknow, works.
