Thanks to NTSync I had to install the cachyos variant of proton to get the support for it. But it was so worth it!

I get well over 140 fps with maxed out raytracing now!
Everything is perfect

Changing Frame Rate Generation to AMD FSR helped a lot for stable fps.

Game runs without any type of issue out of the box, the little to no tinkering I've done is because I like to mess with stuff.

amdgpu had a ring timeout at a seemingly random point in the game, which it recovered from after a few seconds.
I finished the game and started challenge mode to 100% the achievements. Performance was excellent the whole way thru.

Sometimes lighting effects don't appear as intended (eg, ambient electrical sparks filling the entire area with bright light)
Screensaver was not inhibited using a controller
- Using Intel Arc B570 GPU
- Without tinkering, the High preset causes a GPU related crash at the title screen
- Using the startup option to disable DirectStorage allows the High preset to not immediately crash
- Without disabling DirectStorage: there is a tendency to crash in areas with the shop and during cutscenes
- Disabling DirectStorage: haven't played enough to see if the crashes are reduced

When using Ray Tracing features on my Nvidia 4070 ti super the game would crash with a page file/vram error. You need to tell it you are not in Steam deck with the launch command to fix this.

Enabling Ray Tracing instantly crashed the game and now it will not start without immediately crashing back to this error.
Error: The game has crashed due to using more video memory than your system can support.
Fix on Windows is to increase Page File size, not sure how to do that with Wine.

When ray tracing is enabled and a death happens with a reload, the game experiences significant degradation in graphics
When ray tracing is enabled and a death happens with a reload, the game experiences significant slowdown.
The game with proton appears to have issues with ray tracing enabled.

The game is amazing and runs really well.
14 hours for a full playthrough getting all achievements, so pretty much I'm confident to say that I've seen and visited every part of the game and there were exactly zero issues. It runs so smooth and plays so well, it's just a good experience.

Works
The game works without any issues out-of-the-box.
Runs great
Crashes when opening the weapon shop if ambiant occlusion is set to HBAO+, any other setting will fix this.
I did not have any kind of issue with the game. The DualSense is supported wirelessly without any limitation.

Game drops to 15 FPS when entering the shop followed by a crash. Switching to the low preset avoids this issue. Thankfully, switching between presets is very quick in this game, so it's only a minor annoyance.
Certain characters during cutscenes had broken animations or were missing completely. Only happened twice so far.
Shop is broken on higher graphic settings.

Every single setting ran perfectly for me even at max settings except high texture settings. I have the VRAM for max textures (16GB) but it was a stuttery mess when not on medium. Many people have also had this issue.
The weapon shop crashed my game multiple times. I had to restart the game with a new save file two times until it didn't crash at the beginning when you are forced to use the weapon shop to progress.
Game works fine, but even with high-end hardware you need to use medium texture settings. If you run into the weapon shop crash, you might need to just restart your save file. I found no other fix to that.

Tried Proton 9 and expiremental but the game will stop loading after pressing the start button.

(Almost) perfect
Adaptive Triggers did not work during 2 play sessions. Restarting the game/PC would have most likely fixed the problem.
One time the game refused to close. I force closed it with Steam and some progress (~5mins) was lost.
Every time you go through a portal the framerate drops to under 1 for a few seconds. Completely unplayable. Try with regular and GE proton.
Heavy stuttering when entering a new zone.

Whenever i open the gun shop my fps dips to 1-5 till game crashes
In short, game runs well on my system but accessing the gun shop menu crashes the game. Not quite sure how to fix it yet.
After the first playthrough, I startet a new game in challanger mode but everytime I open the shop where you can buy new weapons the game goes down to 1-2 FPS and then crashes.

I couldn't launch the game at first, where I got a message saying "Report Problem". Changing to v1.831.0.0 made the game launch and run.
Runs perfectly

only worked on my new pc but not all the drivers worked so i installed some patches via this reddit post see notes for more info
-nolauncher
found it via reddit.com/r/linux_gaming/comments/xccbk6/dualsense_haptic_feedback_on_linux/ for me it was installing libSDL2 libdbus libnotify hidapi and switching to Steam Input and some tinkering with the steam controller settings

With the closed-source AMDGPU-Pro drivers the game crashes immediately claiming to run out of VRAM, but with the free Mesa drivers it works just fine. Running with high presets in 1440p from a Samsung 860 EVO, with only some minor stutter when dimension hopping.

Was able to run it near perfect on LMDE 6 (Debian 12), only thing I had to do was actually set the graphics to medium which made the game look ironically better than it did in high.

Surprisingly great performance espiceally with dimensions hopping with so little VRAM and RAM usage
I remember playing it on Windows and it wasn't a smooth experience.
The area celebrating Ratchet & Clank used to dip below 60 FPS, but here it's a consistent 80-90 FPS.
the VRAM usage was around 9GB to 10GB out of 12GB while Windows already consumed it all.
the RAM usage was at 11GB out of 32GB, which is surprising since Windows was taking around 25GB
The dimension hopping moment went very smoothly with a 3500 MB/s SSD while Windows sadly was struggling with it. I also tested with a 2400 MB/s which ran the same way but with a minor unnoticeable hitch
Worked great with no problem

On Steam Deck, my Nintendo Pro controller wouldn't work until I disabled Steam Input in the controller settings.
Also supports ultrawide (5120x1440)

Had to manually specify the nvidia vulkan driver icd on an optimus laptop running on wayland in on demand mode

Assertion Failed
As long you ignore the "assertion failed" wine error and don't close the game, pretty much runs like windows with, performance is slighly worse.
Using other reccommended startup options like "PROTON_HIDE_NVIDIA_GPU=0 WINEDLLOVERRIDES="dstorage=d,dstoragecore=d" VKD3D_CONFIG=dxr12 gamemoderun mangohud " had no effect, apparently.
- Also tested on Proton Experimental
- Tested on "Low" and "Medium" graphics settings, DLSS works at the time of writing since the update of a few days ago.
- Updating vkd3d does not solve the issue of the "assertion failed" error as stated by others.
- Steam input has to be disabled in order for the Dualsense controller to work properly

Without the launch command, the game was crashing during the Playstation intro sequence. With the command, haven't experienced a single crash and finished the game. Perfs are ok.
