Game worked almost flawlessly out of the box.
Slight performance problems in some story missions at night. Otherwise great.
Unlike a lot of people here, it worked totally fine for me. I guess I got lucky. I have played the game for many hours without any major problems. Only in some story missions at night did I ever have any performance problems, and it could have just been my PC and not even proton related.

No problems whatsoever on Proton! It worked perfectly with no tinkering and was very fun. I was able to beat the entire game without any crashes or technical problems.
Worked Completely Flawlessly
Worked great without any tinkering whatsoever. Very fun game and I have been able to play for many hours.
Every single setting ran perfectly for me even at max settings except high texture settings. I have the VRAM for max textures (16GB) but it was a stuttery mess when not on medium. Many people have also had this issue.
The weapon shop crashed my game multiple times. I had to restart the game with a new save file two times until it didn't crash at the beginning when you are forced to use the weapon shop to progress.
Game works fine, but even with high-end hardware you need to use medium texture settings. If you run into the weapon shop crash, you might need to just restart your save file. I found no other fix to that.
Worked until it didn't. Probably a problem with the EA app.
The game worked perfectly even with the EA launcher. I was able to install EA app with 7.0-6 and I was able to play the game. The game worked perfectly fine for an hour and got past the initial intro / tutorial section. I decided to stop playing at that point and when I relaunched the game later it stopped working. I tried many solutions posted here such as changing proton versions, using GE, launching the alternate exe (which would work directly from Wine in file system but not Proton from Steam), and other solutions online but nothing fixed it for me. I could launch the alternate exe from file system in Wine every time but I'm pretty sure it's against Steam TOS, has worse performance than Proton, it's a pain to do, and it doesn't keep my previous progress.
Game works perfectly out of the box.
I've played for many hours and it works extremely well by default.
