So far it has been 10 hours and can't find any problem. The default controller scheme is very comfortable and the performance is great
Some hints and messages while playing has tiny letters
It is a great experience in Steamdeck. I didn't have to play with config files or command line. I worked out of the box
yes but i am visually impaired so you might be fine
Runs well, but the beginning was not stable in terms of FPS. In general, runs quite well on medium settings with FSR on ballance. TDP 12W

Disabled gyro. Also mapped L3 and R3 to L4 and R4.
TDP 12W
Mapping L3 to L4 didn't work. I had to map L4 to the actual move that I wanted to perform. It was easy, though.
I disabled the dynamic scaling and activated FSR 3 for frame generation. No FSR for resolution.
I'm getting 50-60fps most of the time. Indoors it goes to 30-40fps.

Disabled Gyro
all together great fun to play initial start was a bit finikydue to two files not downloading failing to launch campaign but verifying the game solved it

You can improve performance and battery life if you play with the settings. Great out of the box experience though.
Locked FPS 40 TDP 12W
It's really hard to quickly make out what button to press during QTEs. Other than that it's fine.
Some pixelation here and there but that's upscaling for you. Didn't bother me much.
I really like the game so I'm playing it a second time but this time on the deck. A must try.

Changed to 10w
Small texts on which button to press during QTE
The new addition to FSR3.1 with frame-gen felt great. Feeling of constant 60fps with all medium settings. Disabled frame limiter in the SteamOS game setting

Just the basic lowering Graphics settings and lowering FPS Limit
Just some minor FPS drops if a lot was going on
When playing the game everything runs perfectly fine and the game plays amazingly the only time it doesn't play amazingly is when the FPS drops by 10 every now and then due to lots of particles on screen otherwise the game runs amazingly and I have finished it on the Steam Deck twice now.

Can maintain 40fps most of the time on medium settings + built-in FSR2.1, with occasional dips to 33-34.

The work Nixxes put in to make sure Spider-Man works on Deck is incredible, and makes the Deck feel even more like a PSP by proxy
Set the display refresh rate to 40hz as the game ain't gonna hit 60FPS even on low, but it does hit 40FPS.

Use the "Medium" graphics preset and set the Frame Limit to 30FPS
The game runs without issue. Lock it to 30FPS and the Steam Deck OLED will run for 2 hours on this game. It could probably do 40FPS with a couple of microstutters. The game at Medium settings looks great too!

I've played handheld and even docked mode and the game runs great. I didn't have any problems.

Previous versions needed tweaks to work well with switching from docked to undocked or to turn off FSR 2.1.
With the Oct 30 patch: everything is perfect with the default settings. Even the FSR looks great. Just use default proton and optionally (but recommended) turn off Vsync.

Framerate drops below 30fps in the F.E.A.S.T. shelter. It's not a big deal since you're just walking around as Peter Parker, talking to people (no Spider-Man action here).
Looks significantly better at 30fps following the Deck HD guide, not worth using FSR and lower settings to achieve 40fps in my opinion.

Audio will often desync from the subtitles.
Game occassionally stutters.
Every hour or so, the game comes to a crawl until it hangs and a reboot of the entire Deck is required.
Plays really well, but the frequent crashes are frustrating.

Manually set aspect ratio to avoid freezing on docked display.
Set steam deck frame rate to 40, and game resolution to 1152x720 to engage FSR.
Sometimes there's moments were you have to press a button quickly to acheive a goal, and the button labels are hard to read (especially hard to tell R2 from R1, etc.)
Game would consistantly freeze when docked to external display.
Something about auto aspect ratio, or possibly dynamic resulution scaling causes the game to freeze up immediately when the city is first loaded. Makes playing on external TV impossible without turning auto resolution off. I have black bars on the sides when on my TV, but I prefer that to changing the aspect ratio when I switch from docked to undocked.
游戏中会有概率在你呼出steamdeck的左右两个快设键的时候崩溃
游戏整体运行很棒,但是在城市荡蛛丝的时候会剧烈掉帧,这对蜘蛛侠这种动作游戏来说,十分影响体验
30fps lock
30fps lock with vsync off Forced proton experimental Mix of high/medium with no fsr Game looks and plays amazing with no dips

TDP 12 - GPU Clock 1200 - FSR 2.1 (in-game)
Game runs ~40 FPS
Steam deck can handle this title but will run warm and loud. Highly recommend setting FPS lock to 40 in the Steam Deck settings
The game gets around 30-40fps on average with default settings. Perfectly fine for a handheld.
After c.a. 2-3hrs of play, the game FPS suddenly drops to <5 to finally freeze. Happens almost everytime. Deck restart helps. Still, spent 50hrs with the game and it rocks!
40hz/40fps
When I moved SM:R to my SD Card. SM:R gave me an error saying it couldn't find the save folder and therefore couldn't save anymore. On top of that my Steam Cloud freaked out complaining about synchronization issues and refused to fix itself.
The solution to my problem? I changed the default Proton to Proton GE and then back and then everything worked again.
I assume what happened was that moving the game screwed with right to folder accesses and that changing the Proton version deleted and reinstalled the fake virtual C Drive, fixing the access issue. I don't know if changing to Proton GE was necessary to fix it or if any switch to any version would do since I haven't tested it. But if another user has this problem and doesn't have GE already installed I recommend testing out other Proton versions before installing GE.
Aside from that SM:R runs like a dream~ And looks beautiful too!
it seems like im rather alone on this but my deck keeps overheating after about 15min. my Settings are a bit lower than the auto settings. and othervise it runs on 30 with no noticable framedrops
40hz
Crashes almost every time when dying in a mission.
For the best stable 40FPS performance, use settings from this video - https://youtu.be/2CKsRN_2B0A
You can squeeze a very unstable 60 FPS if you drop everything to minimum native resolution - 45 cap is more regular; mods also work!
The mod manager required for a bunch of mods isn't required to launch the game, so you can add the manager as a non-Steam game, mod the game like PC, and launch regularly.
