Random black fog covering whole screen view in a few games (rarely)
Works perfectly ootb
Works stright out of the box
Technical error message dialog before even a title page. Command-line options that worked for others didn't help.
Just worked with Proton 9. Didn't get to multiplayer but it did browse user created tracks fine.

Works perfectly with no tinkering
Had a great experience! Hooked up my controller without issue and got straight to playing with max settings at 1440p.
The occasional crashes are very frustrating, so I can't wholeheartedly recommend this game on Linux.
runs straight out of the box

just works

Works ootb
Tested with Proton 8.0.3
Pop!_OS 22.04 (x11)
Steam flatpak

There is something about gaming via a portable that takes average games and makes them enjoyable...
For me, the ability to click that "Power Button" and resume right where I left off makes games like this very appealing. Instead of investing hours in one sitting, the ability to jump and play stands out.
I am pleased to say then that this ran perfectly for me on my Deck from start-to-finish!
Game starts, and menus are navigable, but when trying to enter a race, the game just crashes.
In fact, my KDE session is closed, and I need to re-login.
Played for about 30 mins, ran great.
Game starts, then I get a message about sending a dump to an dirt5 e-mail.
Tried to use multiple proton versions, it wouldn't start without a crash.
Limited the fps to 30
Runs perfectly OOTB.

Works out of the box with Proton 7.0 and Proton Experimental
There is flickering or glitches, very bright and very dark passages on some tracks, but very playable

Do not buy if you want Classic Rally as all previous DIRT versions. However if you have all the previous the Bundle is "dirt" cheap.
With DiRT 4 being native ported, just as Shadow of The Tomb Raider by Feral Interactive to Linux (Vulkan) and macOS native, it is no surprise that this, like other Codemasters' games just works, but also an example of that AAA games are less and less likely to be ported as Proton is getting "too good". In fact Codemasters said so themselves. No more ports (leaves macOS users behind but not us). But it is a clear console port to Direct3D Ultimate. But also clearly for TV playing. So even starting the game with a keyboard, and continuing in the menu with it, it only shows Controller Buttons. Haven't seen that since FIFA 10 or something. If you haven't played a previous DIRT version, go try DiRT 4 as that uses Vulkan and can easily be set to 4K and Ultra + Anisotropic Filtering to 16x on an RX 6600 XT even. Disable Motion Blur. Or if you wish to start with the very first one, which has a benchmark, always nice, that runs OpenGL (confirmed by Mangohud overlay), and Quality settings may need to be tweaked down a little on 4K. DIRT 2.0 however is not native, and very similar to DiRT 4, but since I had all the other the Bundle cost me virtually nothing. PS: For that you must disable MSAA completely, but keep on TAA and set Anisotropic Filtering to 16x! In fact it stutters as heck on 8x for some reason, at 4K at least, Mangohud shows like 23 FPS, also if enabling just MSAA 2x while disabling say both TAA and Anisotropic Filtering. No quality degradation by using TAA. It's plenty good AA for racing.
Works great out of the box.
Get a "cannot find a compatible graphics card" error message.
Will not start
Works without issues out of the box
Played with a dualshock 4 connected through bluetooth, game runs perfectly. The launch itself seems long though, but outside of that, nothing wrong that I noticed.
Limited FPS to 30
When not runing Beta version of OS game would not launch. Beta works fine as of 2022.04.12, will likely be fixed in stable branch soon
Worked out of the box with GE-Proton7-14, no other tweaks made. Runs perfectly on my hardware on "High" graphics - Benchmark max FPS was 117
Funciona perfecto

WINE_FSR_OVERRIDE=1 WINE_FULLSCREEN_FSR=1 WINE_FULLSCREEN_FSR_STRENGTH=2 %command%
Sometimes there are micro-cuts, falling the fps and freezing by less than a second. Most of the time playing at 60fps or more at high settings 1080p. (Fidelity FX disabled and shadows at minimum)
Micro pauses in gameplay due to fps falling.
There are some small pauses in game, fps falls.
Some suggested the shadows are broken. I did not notice anything.
Works almost perfectly with Garuda. Can't get it to start at all on Manjaro as "can't find graphic card"
Micro-pauses during gameplay

Error on launch - dir83db.tmp
Would not launch on Proton Experimental or 6.3.
Error on launch "Cannot find a compatible graphics card" but it works find on Windows with the same card.
Performance isn't the best, around 40ish FPS on the Benchmark, with high settings.
My Xbox controller was recognized with no problems and worked out of the box.
Couldn't join Multiplayer tho.
7/10
The strange lighting that makes dark areas black and light areas white is only fixed when using Proton Experimental or Proton GE. Lighting issue still present with Proton 6.3-7!
It is running smooth with Proton 6.3.7
A litte too dark on some occasions, but everything on ultra settings, but shadow and FidelityFX on ultra low/off
Funciona perfecto, un golazo
Game works perfectly now and the lighting is fixed. Online is still not working. I get 10fps better than Windows 11.
lighting/shadows are broken on default settings
To make the game playable I set
Shadow Quality -> Ultra Low
FidelityFX Ambient Occlusion -> Off
in Profile -> Settings -> Video Options
