i get the occasional audio cracking in all Proton games. the environment variable PULSE_LATENCY_MSEC=60
fixes this.

apart from occasional audio crackling (fixed with the PULSE_LATENCY_MSEC trick), which I seem to get in almost all Proton games on my PC, it works perfectly fine out of the box
These tweaks represent the best experience I could get, but it's still far from competitive.

very rarely the audio just completely disappears and requires a game restart to bring back
sometimes the arms of your character turn to jelly, resulting in a weird but funny effect
frametimes are less consistent and overall higher than on Windows, resulting in less FPS and occasional minor lag spikes
The game works with these tweaks, but it's not in a state that would allow you to play competitively.
If you're just playing casually with friends like I do, it's fine. If you care about your rank, it's far from fine.

The environment variable PULSE_LATENCY_MSEC=60 fixed crackling issues.
Running the game with Direct3D rendering more often than not doesn't work or is extremely slow (it's also slow on Windows with Direct3D rendering). Switching to software rendering in the configurator works perfectly.

The environment problem PULSE_LATENCY_MSEC=60 fixed the crackling issue.
Occasionally I am unable to invite my friend (who is playing on Windows). He gets an error saying that the session no longer exists. Not sure if it's a Linux-Windows problem or a Dying Light server problem in general. A game restart usually fixes it.
The native version doesn't run at all.
The native version just works with good performance.
The only issue I've found is that the application has no app icon when it's running, which is really not even worth mentioning as an issue.

Worked flawlessly out of the box. Most polished VN experience I've ever had; Linux or Windows.

without PULSE_LATENCY_MSEC=60 i would get audio crackling very very rarely. setting this environment variable completely removed it.
The native version works flawlessly; didn't even have to try Proton.
100%-ed the game in 50 hours. during all that time I only had a single random crash.
the native version just works
while playing with a friend (who was on Windows), occasionally he would disconnect for no reason and could not reconnect. don't know if it's related to Linux, or if it's a Kingdom problem, or if it's my friend's PC (he has a very slow PC), but that was very rare, and a restart would make it work again, so it's basically a non-issue.
