Runs much better than native since A17 was released. Can set many of the video settings to max/ultra without issue.
Only occurred when changing the game's scale/windowing.
Runs great out of the box. Regularly getting 100+ FPS
At one point I had the game tank in performance, though I likely was running low on VRAM or the like. Hasn't happened again since.
Game seems playable, though there are graphical glitches. Runs on DX9 so there isn't much to be done in the way of tweaks.
Runs the same as before, out of the box. When running with experimental D9VK, setting PROTON_USE_D9VK=1, it starts up more quickly, runs smoothly, and doesn't appear to experience the same graphical glitches "native' DX9 provides.
Runs ok out of the box. Using D9VK and the audio tweak for nearly flawless game experience.
Improved performance. Eliminated graphical artifacts.
Setting PULSE_LATENCY_MSEC=60 fixes this.
Only occurs with native DX11, not over Vulkan.
This only occurred when transitioning between areas, when using D9VK
Fullscreen was tricky to use, but did work. I had to first select 1080p from the options menu, then select the fullscreen option. Otherwise the game would crash.
I was playing version 2.0.4 of the game. This requires opening the game properties in the Steam client, select Betas, and select version 2. The default version 1.x is older. This may require installing Adobe AIR (I already had it installed). Note also, I did not have to manually patch the game in any way, unlike previous reports.
Installed via Proton because of a missing library I couldn't get. Worked perfectly.
Assuming the game is running at full performance, it's still rather enjoyable despite the regions with lag.
Game will crash periodically with Esync enabled.
Some areas in the game perform terribly slow, regardless of graphics settings. I also had this weird issue where on startup, the game will sometimes be running normally (full 144 FPS), and other times be very slow by the main menu (~15 FPS).
Some users report using gamemode to improve performance. I have tested both with and without, and found it made no difference. The random poor performance on startup is not affected by this, at least for me.
Seems to perform a bit better in Proton due to the Vulkan layer. No issues running the game, and it even pulled in my save from native.
The game overall ran fine, but for some reason the in-game menus (e.g. inventory) were laggy and not as responsive. Had to use keyboard input to prevent miss-clicks here.
The game would periodically crash. This seemed to have been corrected by disabling Esync

Overall a good experience. The game performance may indeed degrade over time, but I have not thoroughly tested this.
The game will sometimes flicker, shadows will be too dark/light, or some assets will briefly disappear (e.g. bushes). It's not significant enough to disrupt normal game-play.
As in previous reports, audio during cut-scenes does not play. Downgrading does not fix this anymore.
When starting up the game, it will try to install a .NET Framework pack, which is not needed after initial setup. Also, I sometimes needed to press ESC to get the menu to initially load.
Add SDL_AUDIODRIVER=winmm launch option to fix cut-scene audio issues.

Opens a black screen
Game audio does start playing if you press Enter, but that's the extent of it.
The occasional graphical artifacts made the game frustrating to play, and not worth dealing with IMO.
Game window would be black with DXVK.
After transitioning between rooms/menus, the screen will sometimes start flickering. Repeating this fixes it.
After saving a game and quitting, pressing the "continue" menu button resulted in a crash. Manually selecting the save worked fine.
As others mentioned, the opening cutscene is problematic, and caused my game to crash entirely. Holding down a button to skip it seems to work fine.
Worked great after forcing WineD3D, turning off Steam Overlay, and enabling the 360p option.
Black screen when using DXVK
Will sometimes see artifacts when switching between rooms or menus. Disabling the Steam Overlay corrected this. The game window will also flicker entirely, showing the desktop. Setting the 360p game setting fixes this.
The game will sometimes crash when loading a save. Usually works on the 2nd try.
Black screen unless D3D11 is used.
Turning off the steam overlay fixed this issue
Runs perfectly. Had to install the 32-bit vulkan icd loader package to get it running though (game seems to use both 32 and 64 bit libraries). I recommend running with the options %command% --waitforpreload --gc 2 --nologo --noasync. In particular, the --waitforpreload helps to build a shader cache before the game and areas load. This helps reduce stuttering and low FPS.
Slight flickering when the screen is meant to shake
Running the game with 'PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%' corrects the flickering issue. Works fine otherwise.
The game seemed to stutter somewhat when loading new effects (I suspect generating shaders). Ran smoothly afterwards
Everything works great, minus the crashing on the multiplayer menu.
Sometimes the game will start with a performance penalty (<40 FPS), and restarting it will bring it back to normal performance (~144 FPS).
Multiplayer still works through the console (CTRL + ALT + `/~).
To join a game, run the command: connect "<ip>:<port>"
Works great. Multiplayer lobbies work as of Proton 5.13-2
Installs fine (despite the error message). Both 32 and 64 bit versions run without issue. The game is perfectly playable, though suffers from poor FPS in some areas (even on minimum settings). The game is definitely playable, and the framerate is consistent, even when slow. Looking forward to seeing this run on top of Vulkan.
Works great out of the box, 32 and 64 bit. Running experimental D9VK by setting PROTON_USE_D9VK=1, I can max out ALL video settings and still get that sweet 60 FPS. This resulted in a couple minor lighting glitches, but I'm not sure if those were there without the vulkan layer, nor does it have any impact on the gameplay.
Works great
This game does have a linux runtime. Forcing it to use Proton yields much better performance (2x FPS in my case).
The game has a screenshot mechanism, that let's you hold onto a picture of the game. This image doesn't seem to be scaled properly, though it's unclear if this is a game bug or a proton problem.
The game will crash while in fullscreen, if the game looses focus.
