The game runs flawlessly with one exception. The opening cut scene does not play play. When I start a new game it starts in engine with the player laying on the ground. The file Prologue.wmv doesn't play, but it is inside of the game folder. It isn't a huge deal I can watch it whenever I want but it is something that doesn't work.
Everything else has been working just fine. Online functionality works, notes work, I can see other players running around, bloodstains work. I have beaten The Last Giant and The Pursuer so far and I intend to keep playing the game.
I have bee playing Dark Souls 2 Scholar of the First Sin for close to 30 hours and I have not had a single issue. Online functionality works fine, I have been invaded several times, I have summoned other players to help with boss fights, and that has worked fine. I have not yet put my summon sign down to help somebody else with a boss fight.
I have beaten The last Giant, The Pursuer, The Old Dragon Slayer, The Dragonrider, Flexile Sentry, Ruin Sentinels, Belfry Gargoyles, Lost Sinner, Royal Rat Vanguard, and The Rotton.
Boss Cut scenes have all played and summoning shades offline still works.
The only thing that has not worked is the opening cinematic, the game just completely skips it. I think that its because the video file is a WMV. if you browse to the location of the prologue.wmv file you can open it with VLC and it will play but I suspect that proton isn't able to play the WMV file so the game just skips the prologue.
At the part where President Shinra is murdered, some sound effects in battle stopped working.
I have played 60 hours of this game with 3.16-4 and it works just fine. The game will not start with 4.2-1
Proton 3.16-4 no tweaks were needed. All previous bugs experienced have been resolved. I have played through all of FF7 up until disc 3 and it has worked just fine.
Final Fantasy 7 wouldn't start when I was using 4.2-2 but now all issues have been resolved when 4.2-3 was released. I have played through the first 3 discs of the game on linux without any issues.
The game would crash when I would try to load a save game.
