This cache is kind of mandatory for the game to work well. (https://github.com/bcook254/apex-legends-cache)
with the cache files it works perfectly
skipped processing vulkan shaders and it works fine
The game loads up to the screen saying using OpenXR then freezes your entire computer.
No workie just yet :( This is after you set steamvr to the default openxr renderer. You have to restart via the power button to fix it.
The game starts in an odd resolution. Change it to windowed then back to fullscreen and you'll be good.
stutters a little in the first few areas but it goes away after a bit.
The game installs oddly, being a mobile game, you'll have to restart the game a few times before it's ready so that's normal.
To get a higher framerate add fps_level_pc = 4
under [graphics_settings] in config.ini
the game occasionally freezes but recovers quickly
the game more or less runs out of the box but you can tinker with it to get higher fps
the game plays flawlessly with no issues. server does need proton to run being it's an exe.
plays flawlessly. the game is super fun. haven't tried hosting yet.
i've heard of people needing Ge-Proton for better performance. let the game process vulkan shaders, shouldn't take too long.
The game would load, work for a bit, then crash. then on any other launch it just won't launch
i probably didn't do something right but it doesn't work out of the box and even with tinkering i couldn't get it to work. others have so i probably missed a step.
it messed with noisetorch and discord (using raw mic for phas)
When you switch windows the game crashes to a black screen. This removes all your unsaved items
works just as it would on windows. just DON'T switch windows as it will crash the game
steamvr has this odd quirk where the motion in game is slightly behind what you're actually doing so there is some lag in that regard. it may cause motion sickness but the game itself runs great.
The game runs great, lag spikes when loading in new islands, though that's just how it is.
The game runs great, however it won't work with the flatpakversion of steam due to controller/keybinding issues. but flatpak steam is wacky anyway
after figuring out i had to use an older version of proton it worked great
works out of the box and even has a native linux build that functions perfectly with no issues.
"it just works"
tmodloader also works flawlessly with no issues
