EA Games screwing us over again.
Linux anti cheat support has been removed because of apparent cheaters using a linux spoofer to bypass the anti cheat since it runs in user space and is less effective than the windows kernel level anti cheat.
Very bad performance and not enjoyable with this amount of lag. I would discourage playing cs2 on linux.
Terrible performance, half the fps on linux than on windows. I would not play.
Not worth playing with the amount of lag and performance issues.
Game ran fine with no issues. Native proton would work just fine, I just use GE for consistency.
Crashed on startup.

No amount of tinkering helped. Could be because I installed it on a windows drive.
Too much of a hassle to get the game working, full screening was just awful, had to use specific launch options to open xbox login menu.
Oh man, starting this game in i3 was a mess. I had to tinker with what window to fullscreen and not fullscreen, had to put certain windows in floating mode, had to xkill other ones, and then when I got the game working, I was unable to switch workspaces until I closed out of forza.
Big input delay and lag, still playable but pretty uncomfortable.
Definitely worse performance, stuttering and lag.
Game would crash a million times in the intro cutscene where you were dropped out of a helicopter. The only way to fix this was by putting all my settings to low and dropping my resolution to 720p.
Although it works, there are many things to do before the game is even playable. Firstly you need specific launch options to be even able to interact with the xbox login thing, after that, the game crashes after you log in so you need to get rid of that launch option and put in new ones, it was a mess. If you're willing to make it work, just read through the launch options other people used, that's what worked for me after an hour of tinkering. If you're playing from a windows drive, the dependencies are not automatically installed. You have to install all the dependencies on your own.

Game runs as well as windows does. If you'd like to play with mega hack or Geode, you can use the launch option I used and this video will help you out. https://youtu.be/pY2V5hKIqD4?si=n1IuFfiPY6-t5q35
I originally had an issue where the game would be stuck on launching, I fixed this by just restarting steam. Have fun mashing :)
occasional stutters and freezes, the game resumed after the stutters without crashing.
ran okay, slightly worse than windows but played fine, occassional stutters and freezes, but never crashed.
Worked good. Slight performance issues and no microphone input.
No Microphone input.
Lower frames and decreased performance. Playable but frames have been lowered.
Worth playing.
lower performance than windows.
Works fine, had no issues besides maybe 5 or 10 less fps.
I had an issue where the game would crash on launch. This was fixed adding -refresh YOUR_REFRESH_RATE
quite literally no problems.
The game crashes on startup without a certain launch option. I use -refresh 239.76 to fix this issue, but if you don't have a 240hz monitor, you'll have to put in your own refresh rate into that launch option.
Better with proton than native.
Multiplayer worked great. Zero issues.
Game ran completely flawlessly. Running with proton ran and performed better than natively.
Had some artifacts here and there but the game ran fine, and I was having fun so I disregarded the artifacts and issues.
