Failed to load on first try, but worked without tweaks on second.
Works great. Occasional multiplayer hiccups but I don't think it's specific to Linux.
Following Airship update, you MUST select a region or else multiplayer hangs. Other than that, works fine.
Works perfectly other than opening video, which isn't critical to understand the game. I've played only story missions so far.
Perfect and smooth after tweaking video settings to 60 FPS and no vsync. Minor stuttering with default 30 FPS.
Works perfectly with Proton GE. No issues. With stock Proton, opening video shows color bars, but probably otherwise fine.

Proton Experimental (31-June-2021) would get through Origin Launcher login, but then wouldn't start the game. Proton-GE worked great, though. I've only played ME1 so far. It is buttery smooth, no issues.
Origin Launcher is a pain. Initially wouldn't let me log in unless I logged in via web first and reset my password. Don't think that's a Linux problem, though. Once I got past login issues, it was smooth sailing.

Minor graphical glitches in ME1 later missions.
If Origin Launcher requires an update, game may fail to start with no error message. Workaround is to use Steam's Proton (not GE) to start once and update Origin Launcher. Then switch back to GE and it will work.
Runs flawlessly on stock Proton. Text is a bit hard to read on Steam Deck, but playable there as well.
There's about a 30 second delay before title screen appears, but runs perfectly after that.
Slight performance lag on Radon RX 5700 XT GPU until I turned on FSR. After that, ran perfectly!

A bit laggy on AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT with Ultra graphics settings, but easily fixed with FSR.
Graphics very pixilated / low-resolution at first even though all graphics options were set to High. Fixed the problem by resetting to default graphics settings and/or restarting the game (can't remember which step fixed it). No problems since. Also, I needed to switch from fullscreen to borderless window in order to hide Plasma desktop panels. Now it plays beautifully!
Won't start without Proton GE on my NVIDIA GPU. Launch options required for good performance. Audible GPU whine unless I turn on vsync.

Works well, except for occassional interface hang when selecting certain in-game menu commands.
Interface sometimes hangs when selecting certain in-game menu commands like "Options" or "Leave Game". What's worse: time continues to pass in the game until you force quit from the Steam client.
Proton-6.16-GE-1
Works out-of-the-box using Glorious Eggroll fork (Proton-6.16-GE-1), although you may need to set video options manually, since the auto-detected settings were too low for my video card. Also worked with Valve's mainline Proton 6.3-6, but color bars appear instead of videos. I'm not too far into the story yet so I don't know if that's critical. Just use Glorious Eggroll. :-)
