After clicking "Play" the game launches Origin, and then crashes.
I have the game on Steam. Even though it is on Steam it still needs an Origin account and Origin launcher. The launcher crashes immediately after I sign in to my origin account.
Since proton 5.0.9 it is basically click & play. No fps drop compared to Windows, but there are some occasional stutters
Fps is good but there are ocassionall stutters - mostly at the beginning of the level.
Platinum experience. Click and Play.
The game has issues that have nothing to do with proton. Apply the mouse fix (just google dead space mouse fix) and limit the fps to 60 - that's it.
Works perfectly. Install and play!
The game previously had a "games for windows" requirement. It did not work on Windows 10 or Proton. Bethesda recently issued a patch that removes GFW and now the game is perfectly playable. Literally click & play.
Played the game over an hour. Works great. Proton is like magic :)
When using the 8X antialiasing performance drops to 30-40 fps which is bad considering my hardware and how old the game is. Luckily the framerate is great with 4X antialiasing.
Some users are reporting tree geometry issues when using antialiasing. I had no such issues.
Finished the game in 8 hours. Works perfectly. No issues whatsoever. Feels like a native game.
Works perfectly out of the box. Basically click & play. Played over 6 hours with zero issues.
Audio was missing when running the game for the first time. Quitting and starting the the game again fixed the problem. Never had the issue again.
Some users are mentioning "crushed" or dark shadows. That is not a Linux or Proton problem, that is simply the art style of this game. It is the same on Windows.
Artifacts when running the game in 32-bit mode. 64-bit works great with no issues.
Crackling in 32-bit mode during cutscenes. In 64-bit mode it works great.
Artifacts when running the game in 32-bit mode. Rage offers you to start the game in 32-bit or 64-bit mode. 64-bit works great.
Mouse would sometimes move faster in in-game menus.
The game feels like a native game. I did not have any freeze issues, nor did I apply any fixes. I just clicked Play.
Game starts in windowed mode in Ubuntu (GNOME - taskabar visible on the left side). The game offers three options: Windowed, Fulscreen, Borderless. Setting the option to Borderless fixes all the issues and it works great.
Works absolutely perfect. No issues at all. Install and Play.
The game has occasional framerate issues but it has nothing to do with Proton. It is the same on Windows - this game is know for ocassional bad performance even on top hardware.
Works perfectly. Click & play.
Works flawlessly, but sometimes framerate drops to 40-50 fps (for a second or two).
Work perfectly out of the box. Click and Play. I always use Proton Experimental so I did not try other versions.
Plays great, runs great. Basically like a native game. Only a few minor graphical bugs (characters hair) and an occasional audio bug.
Sometimes the audio would sound like it's in a hall. Like when you add a "hall" effect when editing audio. Only in certain situations though..
The only graphical issue I noticed is that hair looks weird on all characters. It almost looks like a bunch of wires. The effect is only seen when close to characters.
