The mouse would randomly flick, making the game basically impossible to play

Going from fullscreen to windowed fullscreen made me unable to select menu options using the mouse, but switching back to fullscreen and then back to windowed fullscreen fixed the issue
Heavy model distortion on the main menu ship preview about 50% of the time. In-game HUD is flashing and warping heavily, galaxy map and escape menu is also sometimes affected
Any information the HUD would normally provide is ultimately lost due to heavy distortion and warping. I'm unable to determine my exact speed, my alignment to my target, or any other ship information.
Mouse was able to move outside the game window during regular gameplay, causing the game to become unfocused
Refocusing the game after moving the focus to a different application would make the game crash with a Wine/Proton error (something along the lines of !check && VKSwapChain). With the aformentioned mouses boundary issues, this occured quite frequently
Game was ran under Hyprland, errors may or may not occur in other environments

Game contiues to make engine sounds and register input but drops visual frames
Game crashed on first launch due to a C++ redistributable error (I think, the wine window was all black so I couldn't read the text, only the window title). Started and exited fine second launch after driving around a little

Ping stayed stable and low
Great experience on Linux. Haven't played the game on Windows, but experienced no problems in Proton
gamemoderun %command% -borderlesswindowed
Tried "local" co-op using Steam Remote Play, worked like a charm
Launching the game with -borderlesswindowed
prevents the game from crashing if you tab out

Changed "framerate_control" : "Auto"
to "framerate_control" : "Variable"
in TPP_GRAPHICS_CONFIG

Was able to connect to the MGSV server just fine, and I have been able to send soldiers to online missions. I have not tried connectiong to Metal Gear Online
My entire playthrough of the game has been on Linux so far, and I can play with average 130-140 fps average with no issues whatsoever
Audio fell behind for a while during a cutscene
Game would lag a bit when you did certain things, like moving from one area to another, or turning your camera too quickly
Good enough to be played, but the existing issues prevents the experience from being very enjoyable

Alt-Tabbing the game was messy. Other programs were not able to be viewed over the game in borderless windowed mode, and the game did not minimize. Steam overlay broke in fullscreen mode, and alt-tabbing caused the game screen to go black.
Interacting with other windows also sometimes renders my entire desktop visually unresponsive, with the game audio continuing to play in the background.
Game was stuttering quite a bit despite being way under max GPU or CPU utilization.
Was able to connect to the online servers without issue, did not try to join a hunt.
If you do not plan to alt-tab out of the game and don't mind the small amount of stuttering, the game is overall an enjoyable experience. If you however have content on a different monitor like me and/or require the ability to alt-tab, you will run into issues.
Ran about as well as it does on windows, mod support can be enabled with a little tweaking
Added "wsock32"="native,builtin"
to SteamLibrary/steamapps/compdata/218620/pfx/user.reg
in order to enable SuperBLT
For some reason a majority of my primary and secondary weapons had disappeared when I checked my in-game inventory
Game was stuttering a bit on the main menu after launching

The game runs well with both GE and gamemode and vanilla Proton with no launch arguments

Once you attempt to return to fullscreen there's a chance it won't return to displaying the game, with no way to interact with the game.
Entering Steam's overlay caused my camera controls to freak out
This test was done on KDE Plasma using Wayland. XWayland
is installed, but the xorg
metapackage has not been installed on my system.

Game renders previously rendered frames quite often
Opening menus would turn my view, most often straight down
Game running through XWayland as I am on KDE Plasma Wayland. Other games have not had the same issues
