Works perfectly out of box.
Works perfectly. Never had an issue joining a game.
Works perfectly out of the box. No issues found. Multiplayer works.
Works out of the box.
Using 'Fullscreen' instead of 'Borderless' would displace where the inputs actually were. Just use Borderless instead of regular Fullscreen.
Glyphs for my PS5 Controller were wrong. Unsure if you can change them but it's minor.
Works out of the box. No big issues found. Just small things that don't matter too much.
Works perfectly out of the box.
Works fine. Servers themselves are a bit scuff, but that is not a Linux/Proton issue.
Works perfectly out of the box. No issues found. Multiplayer works.
Works fine out of box.
Sometimes, the audio will be missing at launch up. Can be fixed by just restarting the game. Unsure if Linux/Proton bug or general game bug.
Works perfectly. Had no issues playing with others.
Works fine out of the box. Frame lags on my system, but it's highly likely from my old hardware, as it is a very demanding game, rather than any Linux/Proton issue.
Works perfectly out of box.
Works fine. Works the same way most local multiplayer does.
Works perfectly out of the box. No issues found.
Works perfectly out of the box. No issues found.
I did experience some slowness only during the first launch of the game, but I think that was because of some processes running in the background and not the games or Proton/Linux's fault.
Works practically perfectly except one UI issue.
Only issues are the loadout selection and Source Engine menus seems to have a few UI elements not function or missing. Very minor and ignorable.
Works perfectly. Did not experience any problems joining servers.
Native build works nearly perfectly out of the box. Only issues are a few UI elements are missing, but that's it. You can mostly ignore it anyways.
Had to tinker to make the x86-64 build work, even more to make it work with my dual monitor PC.
gamescope -w 1920 -h 1080 -f %command%
Had to use this patch: https://github.com/solsticegamestudios/GModCEFCodecFix to make the x86-64 build work, as it crashes at the start without it.
The x86-64 build cannot detect if you are using more than one monitor, so it either stretches it between monitors, or makes the input appear offset. I used Gamescope to force the borders to use only one monitor.
Crashes without the CEF Fix patch. Necessary if you wanna play it. As easy as simply running it.
Multiplayer works fine, just make sure you hardware can handle modern Gmod servers.
Gonna have to use the CEF Fix patch if you wanna play, as the x86-64 is the only viable to play Gmod build nowadays. Make sure to select it in Properties > Betas. Also gonna have to tinker a bit if you use more than a single monitor. I used Gamescope for that. After that, mostly fine. Some stutters in game, but I think it's from my old, weak hardware. I also read that you can fix it by replacing the SDL library with one from another source game (such as CS:GO) since it doesn't seem to package its own, but I'm not sure what the consequences could be and I don't wanna risk a VAC ban or something.
Works perfectly out of box.
Works fine out of the box. Only issue I found that resizing acts a bit weird if you tab out and you have the exit menu open (from pressing ESC). It can be fixed by minimizing all windows on that screen and opening it.
Works perfectly out of the box.
Works perfectly out of the box. No issues found. Gamepads work as well.
Works perfectly out of box.
Local multiplayer worked just fine.
Works perfectly out of the box. No issues found. Even a gamepad works.
Scuffed Linux port, forcing Proton makes it work better. Cursor acts strangely with multi-monitor setup.
gamescope -w 1920 -h 1080 -f %command% -window
No real issues connecting to game servers.
The game has a native Linux build, however it was very poorly ported and has a lot of scuff. Just force it to use proton and it works much better. Note that it acts a little strangely if you have a multi monitor setup, as the cursor can slip out of the game window, even in game. I forced the correct screen bounds with Gamescope.
Works perfectly out of the box. No issues found.
Works perfectly, no issues with server whatsoever.
Game works practically perfectly out of the box
Games would sometimes slow down in some rooms or slow down after tabbing out and tabbing back in. Could be fixed by changing rooms or tabbing back out and in.
Works perfectly out of the box. But, sometimes the game frames lag when you tab out and tab back in. Can be fixed with another quick tab out and tab in, but I am unsure if it's a result of a linux/proton bug, a general game bug, or my own old, outdated hardware. You can even install mods just fine.
Works fine out of box.
The connection was fine. No issues found.
Works perfectly out of the box. No issues found. Paradox Launcher works fine and am able to play multiplayer with others.
Despite the game having a native Linux build, it doesn't seem to actually work and refuses to launch. Just force it to use Proton. Works perfectly otherwise.
Works fine out of box.
Sometimes the game refuses to let you join games, but this is actually a long standing issue with the game in general, not a Linux/Proton issue.
Works fine out of the box. It's a demanding, unoptimized piece of shit game though, and networking really sucks. Still a fun game.
Works perfectly out of the box.
Gamepad was acting odd at first (Movement stuttering, double input), but it was a Steam Input with PS5 Controller issue, not with the game or Proton/Linux. I just had to turn it off.
Works perfectly out of the box. No issues found except Steam Input messing up my PS5 controller.
