If MSAA is enabled you'll get weird artifacting that looks like reflections, disable them and it'll return to normal. Appears to be a game issue not Wine
Outside of Ubisoft connect having issues in X11 (Wayland works for some reason), the only bug I found in Assassin's Creed Syndicate was the MSAA bug, which also exists in Windows. So it's just another Typical Ubisoft game (for whatever that's worth these days)
A wonderful emulation collection, ROMs and new games works well on Proton
-dx12
If you are playing with a controller the GUI can't tell if you are using a controller or the keyboard and flickers the controls for both, and it got rather confusing.
Any new combat and move causes the game to chug to single frames per second. I have a feeling it has to do with shaders.
Unless you are running equilavent hardware or have UE4 crashing on you, I ran into no significant issues playing this game in Proton. The -dx12 flag got the game to work for me (and with the latest graphics and dxvk updates). Unfortunatly my hardware is underpowered for this game so I couldn't play it for long before the stuttering forced me to stop playing.
I am able to install the game, run it and it works brilliantly. Considering I own this game on Origin/EA App. Well worth a try it you have it.
Doesn't work in Heroic. Game doesn't run
dotnet48
Deathloop is missing key drivers and files and the error logs don't help in decyphering what is missing. From what I can gather DotNet48 is needed, as well as settting the Windows version to 10+ is needed. Outside of that the game still doesn't run so more is clearly missing from the installer.
I am hopful that this can get changed eventually.
Crashes After Epilepsy Warning
Game installs fine, but when I get to the epilepsy warning, it show the message. Then it promptly dies.
This is probably due to my running an Intel iGPU and something to do with the games default settings. There are a few other post mentioning changing a few settings. However I can't figgure out what the intel equivilent is.
Game will crash during fast travel, needed to increase the maximum number of memory map. Per the instruction as explained here: https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Proton/issues/6510#issuecomment-1422921442
I added vm.max_map_count=1048576 to 99-max_map_count.conf in /etc/sysctl.d/ validated after a reset with cat /proc/sys/vm/max_map_count
As noted increased vm.max_map_count=1048576 to prevent crashes during fast travel
Works well, wish it was better but on my hardware it plays well.
After the most recent update the game no longer crashes on the boot screen
But sadly the 11th gen i5 in my laptop isn't powerful enough to run the game. Happy that it works with integrated graphics, maybe an AMD or a newer intel will work with it.
This is Mega Man through and through which means I am stuck on the first level :(
Mega Man 11 works flawlessly, though I do typically write off any performance issues to my hardware and not the game itself.
No slowdowns, or lag from what I can tell. But I've only gone as far a block man before I'd get a game over.
Runs well, but if you want cloud saves/updates you should probably install though GOG Galaxy
I am playing the game from GOG through Lutris. Overall the game runs excellently on my hardware and no issues (once I got the setting diled in) with gameplay. Some stuttering here and there but nothing out of the norm.
If you want Cloud Saves or an easy way to update the app, I would advise you install the app through GOG Galaxy, then point the game to the install folder. I had some fun with sym links. Overall I am happy with how this game runs in Linux
Works, but wished this was a better port job.
This is a hold over from Windows, but the full screen takes a bit to load and it's hard to tell if it's working until the game start/restarts. I blame Capcom and Windows for this, not Proton/wine
Any issues you find here are going to be the same on Linux as it is on Windows. Probably going back to the 3DS or CITRA to play these games.
It's an old XP game so yes it runs nicely.
If I had to complain about anything, it would be the mouse sensitity and the lack of easy controller support. But that's also true with the original disc release (which I also installed via Lutris and it too ran nicely).
Defenite playable game
EA's Battlefront II works well on Linux. I did get the occasional stutter, but I feel that has more to due with playing the game on an external USB than playing the game on Linux. Any additional complaints will come from the game iteself.
Added the following to /home/user_name/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/969990/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/AppData/Local/Pineapple/Saved/Config/WindowsNoEditor/Engine.ini
[SystemSettings] r.MaterialQualityLevel=0
Without tinkering you will get white goo with low enough hardware, otherwise it's as good as it is on Windows
3D Models Flickering
DXVK Doesn't work with Intel Iris Xe Graphics
The game was purchased through GOG and running via Lutris. Had to disable DXVK to even start the game. I presume that dedicated graphics cards will work better.
The Cosmic Shake is a linear version of Battle for Bikini Bottom, same gameplay and engine.
-dx12
For my hardware I can't play this game with dx11, but when I force dx12 it works
If the game crashes for you on startup, like it did for me. Update Lutris, DXVK, and your graphics drivers, then force DX12. The game will launch and run without issue. With the newest update of v1.3a and the adjustable graphics settings I was able to get this game to run at a stable 30-40 FPS on my iGPU.
With the latest Intel Mesa drivers, or the latest Proton the game launches without issues
I've been trying to get this game (and many UE4 games) to launch without forcing DX12. So whether or not this was fixed from the graphics drivers or proton, it now runs perfectly.
Running in DX11 give the game effectivly double the performance on my throttled down laptop. I can run this game with
1920x1080 60% internal resolution High Grpahics Settings
I can get a solid 30FPS
However if I want 60FPS
1920x1080 75% Internal Resolution Medium-Low Settings
Do keep in mind I am running this on a Laptop with an iGPU so these number are fantastic.
Game tries to ping the epic game server had to update my /etc/hosts before it worked

0.0.0.0 datarouter-weighted.ol.epicgames.com
As stated above you need to update your /etc/hosts before the game will work for more than a few minutes.
On my machine for some reason it cannot resolve the Epic Servers. Had to update my /etc/hosts before it worked. If you are having the issue were the game crashes after a few minutes try adding the bellow lines to your /etc/hosts and see if it fixes it.

I ran the Spyro Fix to get English Cutscenes to work: https://github.com/dmnct/spyro-fix
The only issue with Spyro on Proton is the cutscenes are not in English my default. With the GitHub Spyro Fix patch run, that issue is solved for me. Even then the game runs fine without this patch and the in game voice acting is in the correct language, it's just the cutscenes.
Overall game runs perfectly in Proton
Classic arcade action without the emulator
Boarderless window was behind my icon tray, however switching to full screen fixed that
I was very suprised that this game was a native port and not WINE/Proton compatible. Other than a KDE issue which switching the game to full screen fixed, it ran perfectly.
Game starts fine, but crashes entire system at random
Game will crash entire PC at random. Can't recommend at this time.
The game ran flawlessly, however my poor laptop was screaming just to keep it self cool trying to play it. All setting low, graphics set to 720p was able to get it playable... but it was a blurry mess. You'll need some GPU power to play. I'd say a Steam Deck could probably handle it.
Works extremely well with no noticable issues.
Like The Sims, no attitional software appears to be running in the background. The game runs smooth and there is a lot of display and graphics options which don't crash the game. A lot easier to run than the original game installed via... DVD... yeah DVD.
While the game will launch and not focus on itself. Just click on the game in your task bar and it'll have no problems.
Otherwise there is no issues of note. The games runs fine, without any additional services as far as I can tell. Music works, it fills the screen. Honestly other than the missing Populus Demo it's The Sims 1 with all the bells and whistles.
