So, I needed to run the sh file from https://github.com/z0z0z/mf-install like the other guy. But I also needed to manually copy the mfplat.dll to the games directory as suggested here: https://www.reddit.com/r/SteamPlay/comments/bsx6oi/american_fugitive_and_media_foundation_workaround/
Had to get Mint to switch to amdgpu instead of radeon so I could get Vulkan working. Now the game runs fine, but I'm getting about 60% of the FPS I get on PC. Still over 60fps, but not anything special. I'm mostly amazed to have it running.
This is pretty cool, when I bought this I couldn't get the game working on Win10, so having it run here is awesome. I changed the resolution in game, and it doesn't support anything higher than 1024x768 which is pathetic, but it plays right.
The main menu doesn't render properly. Everything past the main menu is just a black screen.
Tried Disable D3d11 and it closes immediately. Checked the log and I got:
53667.275:0024:0025:err:module:attach_dlls Importing dlls for L"Z:\home\evans\.steam\steam\steamapps\common\Hard Reset Redux\hr.x64.exe" failed, status c0000135
Resolution was correct in settings but not in game. Restarting the game fixed that though and it's been great ever since.
The game runs as well for me as it ever did on Windows. I was able to crank all the settings to high, no issues that I could tell.
This game never ran for me on Windows, so getting it running out of the box here was pretty impressive. Frame rate isn't great. It maxes out a single core on my R5 1600 so I'm guessing it's CPU limited. Adjusting graphics didn't seem to have much effect.
Game runs pretty well. I've noticed some graphical issues here and there and had a crash early on. Fonts are very strange, but legible.
Runs great except for the mouse issue. I set it to window mode and the mouse works fine though. The game plays perfectly at fullscreen with a gamepad but it makes the game much harder.
The game plays at widescreen resolutions, which it didn't do on Windows. So, that's pretty cool. The increased width really screws with the viewing space making it almost unplayable at 2160x1080. You need to download the map zoom mod which installs just like it does in windows and works perfectly.
Same issue as the guy below me. Game starts minimized, have to alt-tab several times to bring it up, then it seems to be running fine but I don't have a cursor. Tried Esync, D3d11, and Wine D3d11
Ran with the launch option "PROTON_NO_D3D11=1 %command%" Performance is lower than I'd expect on my system. Lowering physics to low helped this somewhat.
