Force to run in Windows 7 mode
Cutscenes audio is completely missing
Performance drops in bigger crowds though not sure if this occurs on windows as well.
--launcher-skip --intro-skip --skipStartScreen
Game needs to be launched wiht proton 7.0.6. Proton 8+ currently has perfromance regression that can potentially cut your fps in half and cause random slowdowns in specific moments in game.
No issues with anti cheat.
Works fine for me after playing for 4 hours. Just install and play, not sure why the previous reports had problems.
The game crashed once when entering the castle in first town. Never occured again afterwards.

Works perfectly. I played for 50 hrs in proton with no issues. You will have to change the game configuration to use the old launcher as the new one is broken, but there is plenty of guides on how to do so just google ff14 proton fix or ff14 steam deck and you will find it. Game works better then on windows with refresh rate of 75 hz as on windows I had to switch to 60 hz otherwise I would get weird animation stutter.
If you are running KDE make sure to disable compositior as that can cause the game to stutter.
Borderless and window mode seems to constantly re adjust the game resolution to another one rather than the native display resolution.
Newer version of proton will launch the game into the menu but will result in a hang up or crash after trying to start the game.
Game crahses every 5-10 minutes of gameplay.
Game will crash on specific actions. Currently there seems to be multiple ones that can cause it but its very specific to be able to re create it. You could be rolling away from the enemy and game will crash. If you do it exactly the same way it will crash again. So it can feel random but is reproducible.
Use a FPS limiter rather than the game vsync to avoid massive stutters
Perfromance problems when in game v-sync is enabled
FPS occasionaly drops by 5- 10 frames in open areas which does not happen in windows, otherwise perfect 60 fps
Everything worked out of the box. I ran the game on proton experimental but it will work with any recent version of proton perfectly fine. Multiplayers is not working at all no matter which proton version I try.
Ship particle effects are artifacting a bit
Mouse will move to middle of the screen during change in dialogue
Game crashes often in atlantis usually in commercial district
Stuck at Bandai Namco log
Tried multiple proton versions from 4.x to latest with no luck and same results. I tried using old kernel 5.15 but no changes either. Strangely enough game works perfectly fine on my steam deck with no changes utilizing proton 6.13 by default
WINE_CPU_TOPOLOGY=8:0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7 %command%
Seems to be normal for this game
Seems like the game does not like when you you have to many cores on your system. Limiting it to 8 threads seems to work fine, also tried limiting my cpu to 8cores/16 threads in bios which works fine as well.
Works perfectly fine with no issues whatsoever.
A bit of stutter when shaders are loading.
Using Proton Experimental [Bleeding-edge]

Download and apply the following to fix Ma Chao Musou attack. Once that is done use the attached launch options to make this work. https://community.pcgamingwiki.com/files/file/2924-fixed-the-problem-of-warriors-orochi-3-ultimate-ma-chao-musou-causing-the-enemy-to-go-black/
Proton GE is required to get the cutscenes to work.
