Mapped the X button to a back grip button for easy reloading and interacting.
I set refresh rate to 40hz in the Steam menu and set graphic settings to a mix of Medium + Low, which gave me around ~4 hours of battery life on a full charge.
Putting the system into Sleep Mode will cause the game to boot you back into the starting menu due to the system losing connection. The only way I was able to stop this from happening was to set it to "Offline" in the Network Settings ingame.
Game runs well but needs adjustments to make it well suited for portable play, in terms of use of Sleep Mode and battery life. Runs fine without tweaks, but can run better with adjustments.

Set right trackpad press to Soft Press for the X button, and set the Threshold to 15000 to avoid accidental reloads or interactions.
Set graphical settings to Medium across the board, capped framerate to 40hz.
Game launches at 640x480 resolution, need to set 1280x800 in the Video Settings.
When turning on after going into Sleep Mode, system would rarely boot me back to the game's main menu, though this doesn't make you lose your save, it means you'll be back at the start of an area if it happens.
Forcing Proton Experimental is required in order to have SHiFT functionality or use Multiplayer, and this requires a 9GB update. Once this is done, there should be no problems.
The game has issues that require tinkering in order to have Multiplayer functionality, but once you fix these issues the game runs with no problems. I was able to get ~4hrs of battery life on LED model with Medium settings and 40hz. Gamepad + mouse aiming works well, besides button prompts beings wrong sometimes.

Game runs pretty well, holds 60fps without a hitch on max settings for usually 3 hours of battery life. EA Launcher needs to be configured using the touchscreen and keyboard, but once this is done you don't seem to have to do it for future EA games you play on Steam Deck. The only bugs you'll experience are ones that stem from the original remaster release, so they aren't due to the platform.
Good performance and battery life. Community controls allow for gamepad + KB+M benefits, great out of the box.
Set TDP Limit to 6W.
Roughly 4 hours on a full charge with TDP adjustments, which is plenty for a game meant to be beaten in 30 minutes. No framedrops to be seen in my playtime.
No issues at all on LCD Steam Deck, game automatically sets correct resolution, Max Settings, can run at 60hz no issues. No need to change controls, defaults work well.
Set TDP Limit to 5W.
Game runs without a hitch, I set the TDP to 5W since this game doesn't need that much. Controls are great as is, if you prefer mouse aiming the trackpads work well if you set them to mouse movement. Only renders at 720p, so does not fill entire screen. I got around 4 hours on a single charge.
Medium Settings, set TDP to 12W.
I got around 2hrs on a single charge with medium settings, raytracing worked and ran well, so docked play would be a good use case of DX12 features. Capped framerate to 40fps for fluidity.
Framerate hovers around 40-45, capped system to 30hz for a smoother experience. One or two points in the game cause slight slowdown.
Framerates will dip into the 40s in intensive encounters and have smaller dips throughout the game.
Had two crashes, one was a clean crash, one required a forced restart of the Steam Deck.
Gamepad controls work perfectly besides rare changing to KB+M prompts, though this doesn't last long. The player character sprite can become very hard to see when the camera zooms out. Roughly 3 - 2.5 hours on a full battery charge.
eval $(echo "%command%" | sed "s/2KLauncher\/LauncherPatcher.exe'.*/mafiadefinitiveedition.exe'/")
Locked framerate to 30hz
Button prompts were not visible throughout the game when in Game Mode.
On Low settings with High textures the game can have performance problems in some intensive scenes.
I got around 1.5-2hrs on a full charge, though this is dependent on how high you lock the refresh rate to.
Increased force required to do right trackpad press to trigger melee.
Medium settings with 60hz cap for ~3-4 hour battery life.
If using control scheme that uses KB+M and controller binds can cause input glyphs to alternate quickly between KB+M and controller glyphs.
Purchasing a third weapon ingame leads to a crash.
At the end of Chapter 17: Nightfall, after the boss fight, the log may not be pushed to proceed, requiring a chapter restart from the main menu.
Set back buttons to corresponding hotbar actions, set right thumbstick to arrow keys to look properly
Controls by default need to be changed since the game was made for KB+M, but once you have a good configuration it controls fine. Got 5 hours on a full charge without making any graphical changes.
Game runs good, goes through battery quickly, ~2 hours on full charge w/ Medium settings & 40hz.
Set refresh rate to 40hz, all settings at medium.
Game has a launcher, can be disabled in the launcher's settings.
Framerate would drop noticably in scenes with lots of particle effects and in heavy combat.
Game looks great on Steam Deck LCD, but is very demanding even on Medium settings and with a capped framerate. I got ~2 hours on a full charge with these settings, could possibly get 60hz with some low settings. System gets HOT. Have a charger on-hand for longer play sessions.
Points in the game that have lots of physics objects lead to lots of slowdown.
Game can't run in 800p, only 720p. No graphical options accessible ingame. Steam Deck LCD got ~2 hours of battery life on a full charge.
Set refresh rate to 40hz and set graphics options to Normal.
I played this game with my GOG copy of the game through the Heroic launcher, had issues launching initially but just had to make sure Heroic Launcher was set to the proper Wine path, then it ran flawlessly.
