Very playable, no need for config changes, runs well, if it was possible to add and join friends, i wouldn't have any complaints
returning to the game requires you to press alt+tab, clicking on the game does nothing
Lower framerate compared to windows
Had the game crash 3-4 times in the last 20 hours played
Unable to view or add friends, unable to join friends convoys.
Workaround for playing with friends: create convoy, pray to rng gods that when the other person tries joining a random convoy, it ends up being yours
If the crashes were way less frequent, it would be very enjoyable, but in its current state, i'd say it isn't
mangohud MANGOHUD_CONFIG=fps_limit=60 %command%
Game does not start in fullscreen, and crashes more often when fullscreen is active
Total system crash every 2 hours of gameplay
The game runs well, everything is great, and then it just crashes the entire system at most inconvenient times, having to resort to forcefully shutting down the system. as far as i've noticed, it's not related to system usage (80% usage on both cpu and gpu on average, with slight spikes)

Can't launch the game in fullscreen, windowed borderless leaves white border
Probably not linux related, game crashes in windows as well
Game requires the steam launch option or it causes full system crashes (at least in my case) every 2h of gameplay or so.
After finding the correct launch options the experience has been great, only crash that happened in the last 5h of gameplay happened to other players as well at the time, and they are all running the game in windows natively.
Borderless does have a thin white border, but at least for me it's really easy to ignore, and doesn't distract from gameplay
Crashes gpu driver after it finishes loading any map
from other reports, it seems to work with nVidia GPUs, but not AMD

Wheel controls are plain awful (hold brake to go reverse)
on high settings 50-60fps
On AMD GPUs, the fix i mention needs to be applied, otherwise the game crashes your system upon loading the map
There was some desync issues a couple of times throughout the hour we played, but it did not affect gameplay at those times
This is applicable for the demo, not sure if it will be required for the full release

Wheel controls are trash, but this is also true on Windows, using a Fanatec CSL DD, in game tweaks to controls required, no way to switch to reverse gear, you have to use the brake pedal to reverse, using mouse to change camera stops the wheel from working, and using the wheel stops the mouse from working
game runs at a much lower framerate than expected, with my specs (visible on the right), i run the game at 50-60fps on high settings

Just Works!
click install, click play, play the game, multiplayer works great, slight slowdowns when loading a lot of the map quickly, but i believe it's like that on all platforms
Everything just worked first try
takes a while to launch the ubisoft launcher, and it doesn't remember your login, after exiting the game, if the ubisoft launcher stays on, steam still thinks you have the game running, other than that, a great experience
