Works fine.
Music cuts out after a while, but I'm pretty sure it happens on Windows too.
Game crashes when you choose a song and press play.
Decided to try playing Audiosurf 2 through Proton and not the native port. The game makes it to the menu, but when you click a song and press play, it crashes. It does not go in game.
Almost perfect: very minor issues. Nothing preventing you from comfortably completing the game.
Seems like the render order of some effects is incorrect. Not sure if it's a game issue or proton issue.
Performance seems slightly worse than I'd expect with my hardware, but the game is perfectly playable still.
Experienced one crash entering Aquanet. Not sure if it was a proton issue or game issue.
Game shows a completely black window and an error message popup. Clicking OK on the error popup crashes the game.
Game is completely playable, multiplayer and all.
Sound effects will sometimes not play and the ghost ship games intro video has no sound.
Sometimes the game will detect holding down the left mouse button mouse as just a single left click.
Performance is not as good as on Windows, although it is still well above 60 FPS all the time.
Game can not be completed because of not being able to load the videos to complete the objectives.
Trailers and other video-based assets do not load properly.
Game stutters infrequently.
Used mf-install to get trailers to load. https://github.com/z0z0z/mf-install
Game stutters infrequently.
Crashed once, but was able to complete the game.
Game crashes after the introduction. If you skip the introduction, it goes in game but crashes shortly after.
Game crashes directly after splash screen when trying to play through Proton 4.2-3. Because the game is an RPG Maker MV game, you can play it by opening Future Proof/www/index.html in your web browser as a temporary workaround.
Had to enable Steam Linux Runtime for the mouse to lock to the game and resolution options to work
Enable Steam Linux Runtime compatibility tool
Completed the game using Proton
The game crashed the first time I died. I was unable to reproduce the crash after.
Playable if you only want to play multiplayer and on lowest graphics settings
Cutscenes are completely black.
Runs at 40 FPS at default settings. Increasing quality settings to highest drops FPS to 4-5.
Singleplayer does not work. You can only play multiplayer.
Game is working even better with newer versions of Proton GE. Game still does not work on official Proton.
Proton-6.21-GE-2 GloriousEggroll
Proton-6.21-GE-2
Tabbing out causes audio to stutter until tabbed back into the game
Proton-5.21-GE-1
Minimap doesn't display correctly.
Tabbing out of the game can cause crashes

PunkBuster
Runs perfectly out of the box with Proton 4.2-3. Completed all of World 1 and some of World 2.
Works fine.
Switching to full screen places the game at the bottom of your screen. Can be fixed with an Alt-Tab.
Game plays mostly fine but will occasionally turn completely white. To fix this, switch from fullscreen to windowed or vice versa. This is only a temporary fix. You will need to switch between the two options a few times while playing when the issue reappears.
Completed game using Proton
Alt-tabbing out of the game when it is in fullscreen could freeze keyboard input to the game. Exiting and re-entering fullscreen with alt-enter resolves this.
Game ran perfectly out of the box with no tweaks needed. Played from tutorial to level 3 with no issues.
Lots of crashing.
Changing window size causes crashing.
Game played perfectly when force-enabling Proton.
VAC
Game will not work because of kernel-level anticheat (GameGuard).
Game ran perfectly with no issues. I did not experience the rendering issue discussed in the other ProtonDB reports.
Game is pretty much perfect but does have a significant decrease in performance compared to on Windows. You will most likely have to turn down the graphics options for acceptable performance.
EasyAntiCheat received an update breaking Proton support for this game. You can only play on a server for one minute before being disconnected with a "Authentication timeout (1/2)" error. It's really unfortunate because it worked great before.
Works fine with slight performance and rendering problems. Nothing that prevents you from completing the prologue comfortably.
UI flashes invisible sometimes
Game has a lower framerate than I would expect from my PC's hardware. Still playable though.
The game barely works.
The game does not render properly from the center of the screen down. The UI at the top of the screen flickers.
Dragging the window around causes graphical artifacts in game.
Slight framerate stutters.
The major graphical glitch with certain singleplayer and multiplayer maps makes the game not playable.
Some maps look perfectly fine while others have post processing lighting + reflection issues that take up the entire screen, making the map unplayable.
Game does not let you switch to exclusive fullscreen, only fullscreen windowed.
Debian Testing: Performance is great, no crashes, no visual glitches, played using mouse and keyboard (controller support not tested).
Game played and beaten from start to finish with no issues. Played using mouse and keyboard (controller support not tested).
Everything runs perfectly. Multiple 250 player games tested along with workshop support and achievements.
Tested in Desktop/Non-VR mode on VRChat 2019.1.2. Crashes when loading certain avatars and worlds. Voice chat sometimes gets stuck and loops over the same few seconds. In some worlds with little to no other people, the game is stable. Trying to exit the game freezes it and requires you to kill the process.
Tested in Desktop/Non-VR mode on VRChat 2019.1.4. Crashes when loading certain avatars and worlds. Voice chat sometimes gets stuck and loops over the same few seconds. In some worlds with little to no other people, the game is stable. Trying to exit the game freezes it and requires you to kill the process.
Tested in Desktop/Non-VR mode on VRChat 2019.2.1. Crashes when loading certain avatars and worlds. Voice chat sometimes gets stuck and loops over the same few seconds. In some worlds with little to no other people, the game is stable. Trying to exit the game freezes it and requires you to kill the process. Renaming youtube-dl.exe to youtube-dl.exe.old does increase stability but you will still experience many crashes.
Game does not launch with default settings.
Also, the MicrosoftEdgeWebview installer that happens at startup corrupts the Proton prefix and requires you to manually delete it to try again.
Everything works except video-based cutscenes.
Cutscene video playback not working. Videos display test pattern (colored bars).
Ran completely fine for me out of the box. You may need to install libmpg123 if you are experiencing crashes, however I did not need to.
