Joint Ops is a very old and niche game but works on Steam Deck as good as it does on PC. Controls are WIP but work 90% great.
Added a touch menu on the left touch pad to enable: Suicide, 1st Person View, 3rd Person View, Map Menu, Journal Menu, and Info Panel. L4 and R4 lean left and right respectively. Y stand (High), B crouch (Med), R5 prone (Low). Still WIP needs seat switching, quick voice commo hotkeys, and night vision button. Multiplayer was flawless. Was even able to type to teammates with the virtual keyboard.
If the control scheme gets dialed in, it's a full fledged compatible Steam Deck title. Steady 60FPS and ran a couple coop matches online for some nostalgic fun. The text is very visible imo and I had no trouble throughout my playthrough besides remember I need buttons assigned to use things like Night vision or swapping seats in a vehicle. My WIP control scheme is available in Community templates for the game, please feel free to tinker with it and upload your own based on it.

This is still a work in progress...I didn't have to fight proton just installed proton 7.0-2.
Game is working even better with newer versions of Proton GE. Game still does not work on official Proton.

Tabbing out causes audio to stutter until tabbed back into the game
After installation, the game needs an update from the game menu. don't minimize the game. it wil cause audio issues.

If you tab out of the game, the sound will be gone. After tabbing back in the game, it is necessaray to switch audio from 2.1 to 4.1 and back to 2.1 again.
