Doesn't open or opens to a black screen, then crashes
I tried running the game through:
- Proton-6.18-GE-2
- Proton-6.13-GE-1
- Proton experimental (2021/10/16)
- Proton 6.3-7
- Proton 5.13-6
And i couldn't get to the main menu.
Results varied from no window opening to a black window opening but then crashing.
in ~20hrs of playtime i crashed once, not sure if this is even linux-related
(Reported experimental version: experimental (2021-10-22))
loading save states does not work. If i try to load a save, it crashes.
The initial cutscene doesn't display correctly, colors are very distorted
Using the mayflash gamecube controller fix, the game runs just as expected in any way. Even rollback beta works without problems.

To use a gamecube controller via the mayflash adapter i had to follow this guide
cutscene doesn't play relatively close to the beginning of the game
After ~2hrs of playtime there is a cutscene that can't be played, it just stays black. Even trying to skip that cutscene doesn't work, it just crashes
