Works great
Mods are working without any problems

(none)
This only sometimes happens for me, but sometimes the game can slow down a little bit when theres so many things happening all at once.
The game plays perfectly with muliple people playing at once, no lag unless theres many things happening at once (though it could just be me), but other than that it preforms very well.
Game plays perfectly (apart from the aforementioned lag), workshop content is great. If you love Smash Brothers, you'll love this!

Works perfect with default settings
Played PvP with a friend without issue
Tested offline only, works perfectly
I haven't been able to find any issues in the small amount of local testing I did.
Works perfectly. Very fun game with friends especially with mods, check it out!

No issues here.
Didn't notice a thing.
Works as expected.
It works, i didn't have to change any settings for it to work.

works out of the box awesome game

-windowed -noborder
limited fullscreen options, only offers windowed or fullscreen, windowed borderless (also called windowed fullscreeon or fullscreen borderless) is not available. This is an issue with the game and not with proton
Game plays online as seemlessly through proton as it does on windows
Works identically to windows
This is my favorite game of all time, and has no issues (beyond what is built into the game itself)

Game works without a hitch. Really awesome pc smash bros clone with workshop support.
Had terrible ping on one map

Funciona sin problemas y sin necesidad de tocar nada
Jugué con amigos de Colombia e iba perfecto yo siendo de España.

Likely on behalf of workshop items causing game errors
Obviously depends on all player's connection

PROTON_USE_WINED3D11=1 %command%
game won't launch on proton experimental if you don't have 32 bit vulkan. use "PROTON_USE_WINED3D11=1 %command%" to fix it.

Everything just worked out of the box
Online play felt fine to me (although I'm probably not good enough at fighting games to notice any serious lag)
Workshop characters worked fine as well, at least the ones I tried.

PROTON_USE_WINED3D11=1 %command%
The game occasionally crashes when I'm in another window, and even once when I was still in the game's window. No idea how to fix
Insignificant lag when playing against a friend online.
Besides the sudden crashes, it's quite literally perfect.

Runs well. Game is verified. Only tested in 1v1s, so you might have to up TDP if more players.
8W, locked 60fps, allow tearing, framelimiter off. Allow tearing ON and limiter off should give best input lag. The game has its own vsync so no point vsyncing again.
Matched against American who stuffed a flag up my ass as Barack Obama via the workshop. 10/10 was very funny but I live in Australia so the match was very laggy. Games with friends closeby can be a little bit laggy/rollbacky sometimes but still much better than cross continent play.

Heavy Artifacting, use Big Picture Mode
Heavy Artifacting, use Big Picture Mode
Ended up controlling two player cursors at once. Enable Steam Input for the game.
To get to this point, you need Big Picture Mode. Otherwise the Artifacting will impact your experience and should come as an Epilepsy Warning.
I've said it a bunch of times but Big Picture Mode is the way to go for this game until a fix in Proton can be implemented for it to run normally without artifacts and Steam Input though that one is secondary.

Has a few stability issues with Steam Overlay and Launch Options. Generally playable otherwise
Using the latest Proton version or even experimental, the game has a significant amount of artifacting on the main menu and in-game. Proton GE 7-43 seems to work fine for me though
Using Steam overlay or setting launch options results in a CTD once the game loads up. Deleting launch options and disabling steam overlay for the game allows it to function however, and you can join friends by having the game in windowed mode and manually checking your messages with them on Steam
Slight bit of lag when playing online, no idea how to fix it but it's still generally playable
Game worked perfectly fine with local multiplayer, although technically, I've only ever gone against the AI when playing local
This game tends to have a lot of issues with the new UI for Steam. The only way I've found to get Steam Overlay to work in a stable manner is to use big picture mode, and even then, sometimes that doesn't work. The only real surefire way to make sure the game works is to not set launch options and disable Steam Overlay, instead joining by manually checking your messages with your friend on Steam if you decide to play online. The only other crashes that have ever occurred are some workshop characters not playing nice (pretty standard for this game) and sometimes the game throwing an "Out of Memory" error that I have yet to figure out the cause of

Run smooth, the perfect smash bros for steam

PROTON_USE_WINED3D11=1 %command%
Literally the first game I booted up to test out Proton. Works like a charm once setup

if you play with an Ethernet cable there will be no problmes as it runs exactly like my windows pc
PROTON_USE_WINED3D11=1 %command
the game runs exactly like in windows given i have no Ethernet cable on this equipment, basically any inconvinience i had was a result of playing on wi fi and not any other thing
minimum tinkering, excellent
Sometimes the game loses track of which player is tied to which controller. This only happens if a controller gets disconnected.
The game has infrequent crashes due to running out of memory while trying to load multiple huge workshop mods (eg, very gimmicky characters, large stages, etc.), not present on the Windows version, but not necessarily the fault of the game itself.
PROTON_NO_D3D11=1 %command%
Menus run pretty slow, significant slowdown hovering over many character select screen elements. Pockets of noticable local match slowdown, a certain few workshop completely nuke the game speed. Online works fine, very little slowdown.
Has some performance oddities, but functions fine. Without tinkers, in-match slowdown is comparable to mollases dripping off a spoon.
Default Proton stable build struggles running the menus for some reason, with gameplay itself being just fine. This issue seems to not happen anymore with the recent experimental updates, so switching to it is all you need to get a stable experience.
Plays perfectly out of the box
It just like on any other platform
Runs just as on windows
Pixels look off due to the game being stuck 1280x720
No problems with connecting to matches
Limited TDP to 8 watts, GPU clock to 800.
After undocking, the game reduced the resolution to 16:9 instead of maintaining the Steam Deck's full resolution

Change the launch setting and you will be good to go, only problem was missing texture at result screen, overall its enjoyable
This is arguably a superior version of SSBM on a form factor that is arguably superior to a Switch.
Game would consistently forget certain custom keybinds on every restart (specifically right-stick for regular attack).
some frame drops during gameplay, game logic still ran at the correct speed
