This requires the latest version of ProtonGE to play painlessly. Which isn't a huge ask for a normal user
This game is as it works on Windows, but with one caveat that you should avoid looking at the move list for the time being.
Crashes when trying to view the move list of characters. Probably need to reencode these if possible, or implement the the codec/translate it to a supported one.
Wait for Proton to fix the movie playing issue and and the game will be perfect.
Heavy Artifacting, use Big Picture Mode
Heavy Artifacting, use Big Picture Mode
Ended up controlling two player cursors at once. Enable Steam Input for the game.
To get to this point, you need Big Picture Mode. Otherwise the Artifacting will impact your experience and should come as an Epilepsy Warning.
I've said it a bunch of times but Big Picture Mode is the way to go for this game until a fix in Proton can be implemented for it to run normally without artifacts and Steam Input though that one is secondary.
I've tried the protontricks reccomended here and it didn't fix the issue I was having.
720p at 50fps
Until the final release, I'm not sure whether this will work on my machine.
I went into BF2 training mode and it froze upon load.
It wasn't just the training mode, but instant action, so a Codec issue is not the problem.
