Crashes sometimes when loading or saving
Using Proton 4.11-13, running with no issues at all. No tweaks needed.
Rush smoothly. No tweaks needed.
Some audios are missing, but nothing that will affect your gameplay. Examples are the noise made by dragging items from your inventory or enemy screams when you kill them.
Game crashes sometimes (happened 3 or 4 times during the last mission from Normandy).
Runs just like on Windows. Just install and play it right away.
Works out of the box.
You will need Proton 3.16-9 to run this. Newer versions make the game crash on startup. No tweaks needed, no bugs, runs perfectly.
Runs out of the box.
Just like Commandos Behind Enemy Lines, you will need Proton 3.16-9 to run this game, otherwise, game will crash on startup. No tweaks needed.
Game runs extremely slow (i bet something around 5 FPS)
The slowdown problem is really annoying. The game is playable, sure, but still, can make some people drop the game.
I managed to make the game run by downgrading my NVIDIA drivers to 345. This, and upgrading to Ubuntu 20.04 (i have an Optimus Select Notebook), made the game at least be playable. It slows down when entering some areas, but I THINK that won't be a problem further on, when playing.
Game runs out of the box, with no troubleshooting needed. Simply click install, and when it's done, click play. That's about it.
Wasn't able to test controller suport (since i hate controllers, i'm usually playing fighting games directly on my keyboard), but everything seems to work just fine. No tweaks needed.
Works out of the box
Online is working just fine. Everything in this game seems to work just as intended. No tweaks needed, just install and play.
During the parry tutorial, in an early section of the game, there is a HUGE frame drop, to the point of crashing the game, if you're using regular Proton from Steam. Switching to Proton GE solved the issue, but instead of crashing, the game drops near to 20 fps, but after you skip the tutorial screen, the game runs flawlesly.
You just install and play it. Except for the part where the game almost crashes during the parry tutorial, everything else works just like they do on Windows.
Did the movie fix mentioned below. Also, if i tab out, when i get back to the game, the mouse will stop working, forcing me to restart the game. But other than that, works out of the box.
Runs pretty stable. Tested training mode, works out of the box. Not a single problem at all.
Cinemmatics wont run. If you have a previous save like i have, you can normaly play the game, but as soon as the game tries to load a cutscene, the screen will go black, and nothing will happen. Used Proton 5.0-7, previous versions made the game crash as soon as you press the Space bar to continue in main menu. Maybe there is a way to fix the problem (Resdient Evil 6 have a similar problem, but people managed to get the game working).
If you have a good gaming PC (like, 32GB ram with at least a GTX 1060), this game should run just fine. If not, forget it.
I have a dual boot. On Windows, this game runs just fine, on high settings. On Linux, performance is decreased, making it nearly unplayable, even on low settings.
Characters voices and other musics are missing by default. This guide will fix the problem: https://www.protondb.com/app/489830#gyjiunQV7U
Game runs slow, even on low settings. I have a dual boot with Windows 10, and i can run this game with somethings around 70 FPS even on high settings. Here, on low, i can barely run at 30 FPS.
Ubuntu 20.04 uses the latest NVIDIA drivers for default (which is 440, for now). All i had to do was to downgrade back to 435. Now the game runs out of the box. Note that i wasn't able to run this game before because i have an prime select notebook. Hibrid machines like this NEEDS distros like Ubuntu 20.04 (which are up to date with NVIDIA drivers documentations). Otherwise, you won't be able to launch the game. To run this, i had to upgrade from 18.04 to 20.04 LTS, and do this driver downgrade.
