The game works perfectly fine, just if you're using nvk use the commands i wrote here to use FSR
WINE_FULLSCREEN_FSR=1 WINE_FULLSCREEN_FSR_MODE=ultra gamemoderun %command%
Almost 50% performance loss compared to the propietary nvidia driver
Online works without tinkering
gamemoderun %command%

The game shows a blackscreen and that behaviour happens in all proton versions.
Black screen, doesn't work.

Initially encountered a strange issue on Steam OS 3.5 where the game would launch with errant rainbow colorization to all graphics. Uninstalling and reinstalling fixed the issue
Ran perfectly, as far as SFV online goes. Would recommend external ethernet dongle for improved performance for both you and your opponent
Second controller connected fine, no issues

Runs perfectly out of the box
Game runs with proton experimental without additional configuration
It works great, no problem so far.
the game starts with Proton 8.0 provided by Steam but halts at the banner image. There is no graphics, just a residual image of your desktop
Must deactivate Steam Input to play with my QANBA Drone Fight stick correctly in the past but I think they fix the problem recently.
Funciona excelentemente no linux sem nenhuma alteração
simplesmente baixar e jogar
no problem with online mode.
using kubuntu, AMD RX 580 4gb vram, i had no problem played in 4k resolution, played online and offline mode, just install and play, i used dualshock 4 and xbox controller and both work.
Works perfectly. It does not stutter anymore. Used Proton Experimental 7.0-20230208 Flatpak community build.
Worked great out of the box
doesn't load maybe once ouf of 10 times. takes a while for the game to load and run. but once it loads, runs great.
Game has significant slowdowns roughly every minute for 2-3 seconds, both in singleplayer and multiplayer.
Ignoring the slowdowns which affect the whole game, not only multiplayer.
Unfortunately, the slowdowns are a deal breaker. In other genres one might be able to stomach them, yet not in a competitive fighting game.
If playing the first time, you have to create an ID which requires an external keyboard OR having to use the Steam button + X to bring up a keyboard.
Ran with Max settings. The 8BitDo Ultimate Wireless 2.4G and NEOGEO Arcade Stick Pro worked out of the box. On the Arcade Stick Pro, setting the switch on the side to 2 will register it as an Xbox 360 controller.
Works out the box
Played some of the campaign and even a few online matches, works great
While the game renders and runs networking (netplay) flawlessly, the game suffers from in-game performance slowdowns when quality settings are very high. A workaround is playing the game in extremely low quality settings; but Proton performance problems will still be there and slightly noticeable.
I have also tried Proton experimental 7.0-20220913 and problems are still there.
Used Proton 7.0-4 flatpak community build.
It could crash randomly after any match, sometimes when loading match. I managed to get trough SF5 arcade run and it crashed when uploading score.
The matches worked perfect, but after each match you risk a crash. I cannot reccomend when you crash the game after 9 out of 10 matches.

It Works out of the box for me. You may need to deactivate steam input if you use a fight pad.
I had to deactivate steam input in order to play with a fight pad
Works perfectly fine
Worked perfectly out of the box
Menu text and character select text can be very small and difficult to read.
Although Street Fighter V does have inherent input delay, the game feels especially sluggish on the Steam Deck.
Relatively frequent hard stutters alongside improper frame pacing.
The hard stutters caused some mid-match awkwardness but otherwise the experience was solid.
This report was made with several hours of offline play on a variety of stages and several different characters. Different graphics settings were also used to attempt minimizing stutters. (Most used graphics settings: Medium with 100% resolution scaling, Medium with 71% resolution scaling, and Medium with 60% resolution scaling)
Perfect with GE-Proton7-20
Proton Experimental
Works Great out of the box
works as if i was on windows
Proton is a blessing for the linux family i coudnt be more happier

Not a lot of testing here, but one one stage (christmas street one), there is a weird lighting artifact on the christmas tree when jumping, may be others.
usually quick intermittent slow downs in games can be said to be a slight performance problem, but in fighting games, intermittent frame drops can be killer, and it is abundant in this game. Online will be unplayable for the other person, playing even in training mode on training stage results in random frame drops every 3 minutes or so, which are quick but very noticable. If the frame drops weren't present, it would be perfect.
As the previous reporter indicated, fighting games need to be 60 fps locked, otherwise it is not going to work. Frame drops here are quick but consistent, which ruins the experience, and will break online for the other player involved. If these are addressed, I believe this can be deemed Gold
Works out of the box with no tinkering needed
Played an online casual match and experienced no issues at all. Issues mentiioned in other reports may have been resolved now.
Played the game at 1440p with max settings and had absolutely no issues online or offline. The opening cutscene worked fine and I was able to play the tutorial, a training match and a casual online match without any problems. The version of Proton used at the time of writing is Proton 7.0-2.
The game stays on top of all other windows by default(don't know if Proton related) meaning you have to alt+tab twice to different windows and then use the super key access your desktop
Steam Cloud doesn't save your config, consequently the settings are reset with every install
No matter the graphics configuration(low, medium, high), frame drops and slow-downs are constant and are more frequent online
Due to the previously mentioned slowdowns, the online experience is unacceptable(fighting games NEED to be locked at 60fps, any variation means connectivity/sync problems). Don't play this game online, so you don't hurt other people's experiences.
Remember when Capcom promised a Linux port and then never delivered? I do. https://steamcommunity.com/games/310950/announcements/detail/857177755595160250
FPS drops even with all settings at low.(For context, the game ran at constant 60 fps on windows with every setting at max)
Online is just in too poor of a state
Some weird ghosting, character movement would cause a blur in the background.
Online play exhibits significant slowdown, renders it functionally unplayable.
Insane amounts of lag, does not feel like the game is even running at 60fps when online.
when searching for, or connected to an onliene match, experienced large dro in frame rate when using latest Proton version. Swiched to 6.3-8 and no longer experienced the issue.
The game runs like Native when runnning an older verision of Proton (6.3-8). When using the latest (as of 3/24/2022), experimental build, or Glorious Eggroll, experienced frame rate drops when trying to use any online elements of the game, mking it unplayable.
