Slowdowns, particulairly in the decorate phase.
Game works on Pop!_OS. Had issues before though
Screen Tearing
Install steam from .deb file (from steam website) and do a FRESH INSTALL of the game (DO NOT RE-USE Windows install). Use a separate directory for your linux games. that's my advice
Quick Note: Unlike windows (Which accepts a tap once you release, executes a right-click when held, and can only keep jumping via a touch and slide), Touch-Enabled devices work (almost) exactly like you would on a phone/tablet. So have fun with the touchscreen as you used to enjoy it! Navigating the menus DOES have a bit of a difficulty as in certain cases where your tap is registered as the last place you tapped. Only affects touchscreen navigation, and not actual gameplay.
ALSO, if you're playing off an NTFS drive (Like an external USB hard drive with your whole game library), make sure you add an entry to fstab to ensure it launches without issue
I can get through the settings menu on first startup, then the game crashes seconds after I can see my destroyer.
I've done everything I can short of uninstall & reinstall.
I've:
- Deleted Proton prefix
- Verified the game files (although it takes nearly no time)
- Deleted the Helldivers folder in roaming app data
Didn't Play much, seems fine so far
Launcher requires Rockstar Games account. Occasionally had keyboard problems with built-in / onscreen keyboard, but otherwise a perfectly playable game on the Steam Deck
Nothing shows up. No error, nothing.
After pressing the play button and letting some time pass, it goes back to a green play button. Steam however DOES show the menu that asks if I want to just Play, or reset all data and play. Both options don't work
Fatal Error when launching
Opens file manager. Manually launching it provides a "Fatal Error" messagebox with no other details (No exit code, no error code, just a messagebox that says "Fatal Error")
Nothing appears in Desktop Mode
Starting the game and clicking "Desktop (Non-VR) Mode" will have steam in an infinite loading loop saying "Preparing to launch VRChat..."
