-force-vulkan
On DX11 and DX12 escaping from fullscreen is janky. This does not occur on Vulkan.
On DX11 and DX12 the mouse would not reset back to the middle of the screen when opening the inventory or tabbing back in. This does not occur on Vulkan.
Small stutters, not too big of a deal. GEProton10-10 seemed to have the least amount of stuttering compared to experimental and 9.0.4, but they otherwise played almost exactly the same.
While I did not test DX11 and DX12 thoroughly, I did not notice crashes while using them. Vulkan does crash somewhat frequently, but I seemed to have fixed that by enabling these steam settings:
shader pre-caching
allow background processing of Vulkan shaders
which are under Steam Settings -> Download -> Shader Pre Caching

SCP: Secret Laboratory Doesn't show real issues via Proton, and in my end resulted into an increase in performance
If the game gets reselected after being tabbed out, the aim may result slow and janky.
The game sometimes stalls for a few seconds for then resuming normally at times, though it may be the game itself and not Proton.
This comunity is deranged, you guys just need to find the right servers at the right time to have real fun.

With two monitors, cursor doesn't stay in game window sometimes, despite being set to fullscreen. Happens often after opening the inventory, as thats when you use your mouse
Unsure why it's rated silver. If you're having issues with settings and stuff, even if playing the game for the first time, running it with boot option "Play SCP: Secret Laboratory and RESET ALL SETTINGS" fixed most issues on my friends' ends! :)

gamemoderun %command% -force-vulkan
Crashes every 20/30 minutes and get authentication error often. There are also slowdowns ingame.
gamemoderun %command% -force-vulkan
Occasional strong stutters. But may be because of the game, as a comment from an other teamate (Windows) might suggest its the games fault, and not a proton problem.

Unless you only play 30 minutes at a time and don't mind being crashed in the middle of a round, you would not enjoy this.
When alt tabbed the game cuts in and out.
Every 30 minutes or so it crashes.
14.1 broke the game. It used to never crash.

Is due to the frequent crashes I´m experiencing

No tinkering, runs well. Frequent game stutters after 14.1 update
Frequent minor game freezes and stutters after 14.1 update
Only tried the default Proton 9.0-4 tool. No issues and I get above 120 average FPS on medium-high graphics which is strangely higher than similarly spec'ed players on Windows.

Game starts, music plays and that's it only a black screen
prime-run %command%
Has been testet on Proton Hotfix, Experimental, 10 (beta), 9 and other (btw i don't know why it won't show my Nvidia GPU but i have an RTX 3050 laptop 4Gb vram with driver version 575.64-1)

Game worked mostly fine a few months ago but now it needs tinkering to be able to alt-tab without issues and is pretty unstable.
When set to fullscreen after alt-tabbing and going back the game window was black and only showed small titlebar in the corner. Worked around this by setting game to windowed and using KDE's window rules to hide titlebar and set position so the window fills the screen.
Cursor sometimes is not restricted to game's window and escapes to the second screen
Random freezes for about 0.5s every few minutes
Random crashes during loadings and after some time of gameplay
After about 1 hour of gameplay my whole system is becoming really laggy especially when alt-tabbing in and out of the game. Restarting the game fixes the issue.
Not sure if my issues are related to KDE Plasma 6.4 or some recent game's update. I tried using older Proton versions but it didn't help.

-ru
Issues only on first startup. Took a very long time to launch, i thought it wouldn't launch at all. Launched after 5 minutes or so.

gamemoderun %command%
It crashes after 30 Minutes
I tried also, Proton 10, Proton 9, GE-Proton 10.4 and at the end GE-Proton 8.27

FPS Issues aside, game runs perfectly fine considering its only silver tier.
FPS Locked to 60 even with limiter set to 200

Game works fine if you can enjoy it accounting for the relative FPS loss
Crashes can be frequent when changing Fullscreen/Windowed mode
The game is relatively slow for any type of hardware. Changing DirectX versions may improve performance.
Changing some settings may crash the game, but doesn't if you play regularly.
The game completly works, outside of some crashes that may come with changing settings. The FPS loss isn't that big to completly make it unplayable, but it may make it more uncomfortable to play for some.

mangohud %command%
maxs out at ~60fps no matter the graphics settings, even with fps limit off or set to 165. low settings does increase the 1% lows tho so i suggest lowering your settings
Proton hotfix
Was able to play it without any issues for a few hours. Got more performance than I expected.
Launches to a black screen and then crashes instantly. Tested on multiple proton versions.

Game will crash if display is set to exclusive fullscreen. It must be played in in borderless window mode
Vsync seems to cause stuttering issues turn Vsync off

Haven't checked with regular proton, so I can not share anything about that.

I used to be able to play with Proton, but the new update borked it for me :(
Hopefully a patch comes out soon, maybe I'll try Lutris in the meantime. If someone finds a fix DM me here https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561199114243204/
Occasional audio bugs, restarting client solves issues

Works Flawlessly Out of the Box
It just works! I was able to hop into a server and play for as long as I wanted.

menu music crackles sometimes
drops down to around 30fps during intensi fights or if more than 4 people are visible at the same time
game locked to 60fps with vsync off and fps limiter set to 120 which is weird

Slight frame drops and freezing.

when i first tried it didnt work but all i had to do was update my nvidia drivers

Game runs perfectly I played mostly on windows until I switched to arch linux and the game runs exactly the same except with a small performance boost and no more lag spikes, I have to reselect my microphone in the settings when I start playing otherwise it doesn't work, it seems like an issue with the game itself since I had the same problem on windows

mangohud %command%
Vulkan gives the worst performance for some reason (~33% worse than DX11/12). DX11 and DX12 options give comparable performance, but DX12 has better 1% and 0.1% lows.
Slight VRAM leakage, sometimes causes unity crashes, seems to happen on windows too to some extent (crashes only happen during prolonged gameplay)
(friendly reminder that this game is not very optimised, not good hardware will struggle)

One of the last updates must have fixed it. No more stuck on initial installation script. Runs great with Experimental now.
Even though the opening window of the game says that proton is not officially supported, it works great compared to the previous version.
Sometimes you need to disable and re-enable fullscreen to get it to work, though I believe this is just a wayland issue because the same happens with native Counter-Strike 2 for me.

Its great but before i could play i had to disable adaptive sync due to the screen going black when the game launched or when i had the window open

The correct microphone is selected by default, but doesn't work until I deselect it and reselect it in the game menu. (I'm using PulseAudio).

Works perfectly on latest Proton
Selecting DirectX 12 in the video settings give overall the best performance.
